The Z is almost a trouble free car, with an '06 just check the oil level. I believe there was a recall on some of them for the engines. Check the oil, if its at a good level than go for it!

its not a private sale its at a dealership. the only thing im concerned about as it has been slightly modded with the exhaust and intake. i usually would never buy a car that has been modified.

heres the ad, exept in this as it says 32000km but on there website it says 58000km

If they top it off, I don't think there is any way to check on the spot. You'd have to drive it a bit and then check the oil to see if it lost any. On a side note, isn't that kinda expensive for an 06. I think the conversion is around 24000 USD if I'm not mistaken. You could definitly get a newer model with that kinda loot.

25,388 U.S. dollars

37,000 miles

that is a horrific price for that car.

I have seen 08 Nismos with ~ 10,000 MILES going for like $25,000

I tend to be cautious with modified cars as well, but if it is a NISMO intake and exhaust, that would be a plus, not a minus.

As for oil consumption... I think you would still be under the Nissan warranty. You could have a Nissan dealer do an oil consumption test if you bought the car and if it does burn oil, then Nissan would replace the engine. Even if it did and they didn't, I wouldn't worry about it. Worst case, if the engine burns oil you just add oil between oil changes.

I think the asking price is too high. At the right price (and that all depends on your local market) it could be a great car.

the prices in canada are way more expensive compared to the states. we get screwed up here big time. any of the newer models and years are up in the $30's. not looking to go that high. i was thinking i could maybe get this car for $22000 if i negociate well enough. all the other models that im finding are just the base model and there still around$230000.

as far as the warranty goes i doubt there is anything left on it, it has 58000km and from what i read warranty is only good til 60km.

also how are these cars in the winter with winter wheels, i do plan on driving it all year round. some of you might think im crazy

There are a few here who use a set of winter tires on a separate set of wheels for winter use. Personally, I think that driving the Z in snow is just asking for trouble. You would be better off getting a winter beater to use anytime there is snow or ice.

If you do a search on the forums you will find lots of ideas for winter driving, but I'd suggest looking at relatively narrow 17 inch steelies with Blizzaks on them.

Isn't that 60,000 MILES (which is a bit less than 100k KM)

There are no problems with the 350Z. Not as reliable or fast as the RSX but still a good choice.
