Dude, I know how to drive on a track and closed circuit... and even professionals have accidents on tracks and street... so your comments aren't valid...

The point is there's driving fast and then there is stupid!... I got stupid and my cars in the shop because it (stupid is relative to the situation... be it rain, twisties, decline - not track)...

If your comments are, "save the daring driving for the track when it counts to be fast and the enviornment is controlled", then YES that is a good lesson... not that I can or can not drive?

JON - thanks bud...

So why make excuses for tires and manhole covers? If you knew you had traction issues, why were you pushing it? Pros crash on the track mostly due to mechanical failures. Crashing due to stupidity is rarer and the reason they get paid to drive and we don't.

Sorry not trying to make excuses... I was driving so fast I wasn't even looking at the Odometer.... wich is flat out stupid on this road going down hill. I was pushing it for no good reason but to drive fast...

I have to own up to my mistake... its something that many have to go through before they change... To others... if you drive fast... its ok... but drive within controlable limits.

don't confuse stupidity or lack of driving skill with not paying close attention and some degree of carelessness - or in a word, FOCUS. If the time you spend on a track teaches nothing else, it's focus.

what we call "stupid" with professional drivers is often just a split-second break in focus, most drivers will tell you they knew they made their mistake well before the consequences hit them.

if you've never been bit you're either damn lucky or you've missed out on a lengthy career as the "Deity at The Wheel" in F1

BTW, why new fronts and not rear tires, too?

I had front feathering so I got new fronts and thought the backs had some time left on them
