Haven't tried this, but I heard it works, thought I would share this. Not sure iff someone has posted this previously,

Yeah I've read about this technique on these Z boards for awhile now... I instituted the practice with the Z and the technique is great. It was a little daunting at first seeing cars in the side mirrors as they [the cars] look like they are going to collide with you.
I will attest to this blind spot fix.

If you took any safety class (AAA) they tell you this. It really works cause I don't know how many times I was gonna switch to the left and a quick glance and see the front of a car on the side mirror. Alot of people say make sure you can see the tail end of your car, why?? I mean beside parking next to a post where you need to check to see that you don't ram into it, but why do you need to see the tail driving?
Ok, the mirror adjusting technic has been around for a long time, it does work.
HOWEVER!!! You still need to look over your shoulder when changing lanes. Reason being that motorcycles are so short and small, it is still possible for bikes to fit perfectly in your now much smaller blind spot.
Don't hit me!

I've been riding for 6 years. I dodge cars about once everytime I ride it.
Ok! Forget about my previous post. It's ok, don't check your blind spot, other cars or bikes will never be in there anyways

i purchased my convex mirror at autobacs while i was in Japan, it is carbon-fiber-esque squared wide angle. I'm guessing they should have those in the Super Autobacs in California as well.
