sun morning i'm waxing my z
Just wanted to give this info The man that explained all the features and how to use all the acc. in the car claimed to be at the moment the only certified person in the U>S> so far with regard to 350z. HE said by monday there would be many more but he is the first.MY first thought was yeah sure but as i got to know him he really seemed to know the car indide out and he wasn't a wise guy.Beware when you pick up your car ---they are not done trying to sell you --- maint. packages- glass etching-- ext. warr.-- etc. The two people who picked up thier cars bought 2,500.00 extra packages. The finance guy told me i was making a big mistake cause the warantee will be a HELL of a lot more if I BUY IT LATER.I told him the other two guys before my were prob. smarter than me.HE laughed and said no maybe your smarted then them. ( he got the point.) well back to waxing.good luck. TRy to get out of the dealer as fast as possible or you'lll get worn down and buy something youmay not want.
Solid advice, Ray. You beat them at their own game. I think we should all practice saying "no" prior to entering the dealership to purchase our car. After you have the signed purchase order from pre-ordering you are under no obligation to purchase any add-ons. Keep your money for important stuff - like gas.
I was pleasantly surprised when the finance woman said "you don't want any extended warranty I assume".
When I bought my used 4Runner the guy spent forever trying to get me to buy that. I told him that was why I was getting a Toyota, cause I didn't need an extended warranty. Six years no problems, glad I didn't waste the 500 or 600 bucks they wanted for a three year warranty. I asked him what his cut was since he was so persistant, he would have gotten $50.
No pressure at Nissan, nice.
