Default Odometer reading when delivered?

For all you lucky %@%@% that have your cars already, what was the odometer when you got your Z?

2nd...unrelated question....has anyone tried to lease and had the actually numbers be the SAME as on the payment estimator at nissandriven? I found a HUGE difference when I asked my dealer to work the lease numbers. Was anyone else's dealer able to match the website?

Both answers:

11 miles at delivery.

No. It's nigh impossible to get the numbers to match -- Nissan's calculator is an estimator, it doesn't take into account inception fees, dealer prep fees, licensing and tazes to name a couple of items. Expect a difference.

A little more detail on miles at delivery: Most come off the truck with very close to 5 or 6 miles. There is a check-out called the PDI that the dealer has to do, which generally puts them in the 11-14 range. Most dealers that I have heard about are willing to allow the purchaser to ride along during the PDI but, of course, you must make sure they understand you want this before they get the car.

Mine was 13, I don't know what it had when it came in because it took me 30 minutes to get there and they already had taken it to get gas.

12 miles and they did not drive it for a PDI, just to get gas right across the street.

Damn, my dealer told me mine has 28 miles off the truck and they haven't done PDI yet! He said he spoke to another dealer in the DC area and their Z's also had 250-30 miles off the truck.

Question: what are the last few digits of your VINs? Or, if you don't want to post the real number, are they between 000 and 050, 100-150, etc.? Mine is 038 so maybe they did more testing on the first 100 or so off the production line? That's what the dealer said, and I do trust him about not driving it.

I am very skeptical. I think you're being lied to. Aren't you (IIRC) the guy that's a long distance from your dealer (Ohio - DC) and it's sitting there for a week or so waiting for you? Unfortunately, given human nature, that was almost inevitable. He'll never see you again and he's got some very prominent long-time repeat customers with a lot of money. You'll be lucky if he doesn't sell it out from under you.

I don't mean to be a bummer, but I think it's the truth.

5 Miles

I was there as they pulled it off the truck no prep boys got a joy ride.. The dealer does have to check it out and that normally entails 10 or so miles so anywhere from 5-20 should be ok anything more any someone took it for a JOYRIDE. Hopefuly they had sense and didnt thrash it.
