Steering wheel controls on Euro cars have the usual cruise control functions on the right hand side of the wheel. The left hand side has a volume control for the stereo, controls for the voice driven cell phone and CD track selection / radio station selection controls.

The sat nav flap only opens up - the lid doesn't retract into the dash like the US/Japanese cars but it feels a lot stronger - no play in the hinges at all.

Dunno if they are now standard on US cars but we also get large brackets which prevent the seat belt clip rattling when not in use, Euro cars have large knee pads on each side of the centre console and we also get voice driven cell phone integration.

Hopefully the following picture might give you an idea : -

Oh - and should point out that the Euro car ends up weighing a few pounds more though on the downside !! Some of that will be taken by the larger fuel tank, larger radiator, oil cooler etc.

your door panels and dash are the exact same color as mine

junglist350Z,

I just looked on Nissan USA's website and they are still showing the US 350Z dash as dark grey - maybe its the way the flash has hit the interior on the picture above - but its definately black. Can you confirm your interior is black ?

Cheers

RickB,

All new 2004s come with the jet black interior center console. I just saw one at the dealer back in September.

Nissan USA is lousy in updating their pics LOL.

Default 2004 suspension

While doing my home work, before I placed my order for my 04 Z Unthusiast, some guy at the dealer who was in the process of buying a Z too, told me that when you order the Aero kit on the 04 model that you automaticly get a different suspension. I dont want say for sure but I have only driven 2 Z`s in my life ( the test drive and my Z) and it seems to me that my Z rides better than the one I test drove. That is why the Aero kit is like $520.00.Does this make sense?.

Hmmm maybe they are already introducing the euro-spec suspension in the 2004s....

One guy who traded in his 2003 coupe for a 2004 roadster noticed that his roadster had a better ride than his 2003 coupe... I would post the link, but I cant remember what forum it was.

I ordered my Z without the Aero package, I wonder if I will get the old suspension . The aero package on last year's model was $500, so for $20 bucks more you get the upgraded suspension?

That's crazy! $44,000 british pounds! It's $44,500 CDN for a fully loaded touring (minus nav) and and $47,500CDN for a track here.

I guess those headlamp washers and sidemarkers are expensive LOL

Congrats on the car though! Hope u enjoy it as much as I do!

Junglist350z,

I noticed you have the 2003 listed in your sig. The 2004s are definitely black, the 2003 (the one you have) is dark grey.

The price for a Z without Rays and Sat Nav but most everything else is GBP28,000 including tax. Exchange rate is just short of 1.7 so USD47,000, say just over USD40,000 net of tax. The Rays are a compulsary option on the first batch.

There is a cheaper package at GBP24,000, but those are not due until the new year.

I am sure that I read elsewhere that the changes in specs for the UK version is now incorperated in current US versions.

Z just got a good write up in CAR magazine, I will post their comments.

I remember reading that aero kits were installed after they arrived in port. I don't have a link to the post describing this but it seems to make sense. Add the rear and front spoilers in the aero kit are probably the last thing done to a 350z during manufacturing so it wouldn't make sense that only 350z's ordered with aero would have the new suspension. Just my .02

David,

£28,000 (around $44 - 45000) includes the GT pack and RAYS alloy wheels (actually £27795 including metallic paint)- but no sat nav which is a dealer install option sadly - not a factory fit unfortunately.

Euro production cars where manufactured from July (pre-production before then) so my guess would be that US cars manufactured after that might have the Euro suspension?

My understanding is that year end production ends in June and the new models began production late July, which makes sence cause I took del. on Sep 5 for my 04. and I placed my order April 3,04
