Default Ordered my Z today.

I placed my order with Performance Nissan today. Thanks go out to Jeff and Ken who are taking care of me over there. Hopefully, with any luck, I'll have it in January.

Here's what I ordered:

04 Daytona Blue 6MT Enthusiast
- Floor mats
- Trunk mat
- Aluminum kick plates

Super excited.

It's going to be a long wait. Even longer since I've got offers to buy my current car right now...what to do what to do. Can't have no wheels for 90 days!

How much? Give as much details as possible, as I am or will be in the same situation soon. Selling my IS300 for a 350Z!

Congrats on your order! Man, I hope the wait isnt too rough on ya... I consider myself one of the lucky ones, who didnt have to go thru the whole ordering/waiting process. But on the plus side though, you're gonna be SO looking forward to your Z. It will be worth the wait, trust me.

Good call on your order as well

Daytona Blue...6-speed...door sills...trunk & floor mats....mmm

Let's just say that for the car, with destination charge, those options added, etc. I'm still under MSRP.

Anyway, ya the wait is going to kill me. I'm thinking of ways to keep my mind off of it, and to pass the time more quickly. Maybe a nice vacation from work!

Sure, that's it, I'm sure I have 90 days vacation coming!! Hehehe.

Why ordering? There are lots of 350Zs on lots, at least around here... maybe I just got lucky... found my car online 15 minutes from my house, drove over, drove home with it two days later

I just ordered mine last week too. Why?

1) Not many Performance models to choose from.

2) None in the color I wanted.

3) None with the options I wanted or without options I didn't want.

The way I look at it, I can wait three months to have "the perfect car, exactly the way I want it". I've bought too many cars over the years and have had to settle for what was on the lot. Sorry, but I'm picky and I plan on having it my way. I'd bet that Dana feels the same way.

i spent about 3 weeks looking for my perf. it had to be exactly what i wanted. that's 3 weeks of visiting dealers, calling, and looking online every day. they're pretty rare, but they're out there. the trick is to find them as soon as they get off the truck. mine was still wrapped in transport packing when i bought it. i don't think i could have waited 3 months, though, so it was definitely worth it. i didn't get the best deal out there, but i feel i did pretty well (though i had to negotiate hard).

I ended up ordering it because there aren't any around in SoCal. 0 in fact. the closest ones that match were in Colorado and Arizona and those dealers won't trade.

I wanted the Enthusiast because I don't want VDC, I will be swapping out the wheels, I wanted to get the car without side airbags since I'll be putting in new seats...I could go on and on about why I did it, but I'm very glad I did.

I'm willing to wait, and I won't settle for a different car than the one I truly want. It's too much money to shell out and not have it be exactly what I dream about when I sleep. Hehe, ok well I'm not THAT nuts.

Anyway, if another Z matching my needs is coming in to a dealership in the area before the my order is complete, Ken at Performance said he's try to get it for me. Hopefully the car gets done sooner!

Heh, it wasn't too bad. I drove it, went home and figured out some numbers. Next day had to deal around getting out of a preorder for a red 6mt g35c which I would have had to wait 3 months on... then I had to work on getting my car sold to a dealer (got awesome deal for it)... THEN bought the Z nice and cheap through a fleet deal. They had like 6 Zs on the lot so they were willing to get rid of them.

What ever you do, don't watch "the Run" while waiting for your order. It makes the days go by sloooooow, till the day you pick up you new Z.

It made me start looking around again for the car that I ordered.
