Same problem. It's a wonder I haven't knocked anyone up yet.

I know where you are coming from, I was changing my oil 2 days ago and ran into the same issues. I just don't understand why the dipstick design is so odd.

YES! Kinda difficult spotting where the correct oil level is since oil gets all over the dipstick taking out and putting in, I just recently got my car and it was the first thing that ticked me off, I got used to it pretty quick tho.

Yeah the De/RevUp's kinda suck.... that was the only reason I got an HR..... anyways lets talk about the filter placement... I had an IS300 and that SOB of a filter was jammed on the drivers side of the engine and u had to be a frickin' contortionist to get it off ..... and then my girls saturn vue... the filter is RIGHT above the frame rail so when you take the filter off the oil runs down onto the frame rail..... so like I said... I like the filter placement on the Z's Nissan!!!

I've found that rubbing oil around the stick usually makes it easy to get in.....

Cool a rant thread about the oil dip stick.

I hate it as well. Oil gets everywhere when pulling out splattering all over the engine bay, putting it in is near impossible as well . HR's have it so convenient
