Default Jesus, I swear the 350Z has the worlds hardest to deal with dip stick

It's un-****in believable. I swear, every time I touch that thing, I think that I'm doing something wrong. It's just so hard to take out, and so hard to put back in even on a bright *** day you still need a flashlight to spot where your supposed to stick it in. Heck even the design of the dip stick its self sucks, it's so long, thin, and wobbly and its nearly impossible to be accurate with it. I hate it, my only true complaint about the 350Z.

While not the most convenient dipstick, it isn't all that bad. I just use a flashlight to insert it into the hole and just deal with it. It is nothing to get upset over.................

Flashlight - problem solved.

If that's all you have to complain about - consider it a good day.

Well the fact that I got a HKS GT supercharger sure doesn't help things. The dip stick is right by where the supercharger goes, so that definitely adds to the difficulty of access. It's like I have to slide the dip stick along the side of the supercharger to get it to go in with the way you have to angle it.

I have HKS GT supercharger too. No issues with my dip stick going back in. Then again I do like things smooth.

Access to the dipstick in the later models is much easier than earlier models. So perhaps you're a bit lucky. Not really a major though, either way.

That was kinda rude.

Op seriously, sometimes it gets "caught" by something in the engine for some reason. I don't know what the designers were smoking.

Put some hair around the hole, then you'll find it.

Bend the dipstick, it's easier to go in and out. But since mine is bent, the oil is all over the dipstick when it's taken out.
