what mod should i get?!?! help?!
hello guys iam a recent 350z owner, i"am 17 just got my 2004 350z performance coupe as a graduation present and iam thrilled with it! i bought the car 100% stock and so far have added stainless steel headers along with kinetix non resinated test pipes, i have been hard at work this summer and have about 1,700$$ to spend on a new mod, now this is what i had in mind, iam not a huge fan of the 350z oem 18's on the 04 model so i wanted to get some nice rims and tires (my 350z is silverstone color) maybe some black with chrome lip rims or gunmetal with polished lip? BUT i also fell in love with hks hi power exhaust with a bumper tuck, what should i do guys? should i get hks and keep my rims for now maybe paint em black? or should i get wheels and leave exhaust for later, depending on ur suggestion and my budget (1700$) what would you recommend?

But all you need is a turbonator, and ebay hi-power chip.
This RSX has them both, and it runs 12.5's. So if you do it to your z... you'll be in the 9's.

Then you can crash it into a tree like the rest of the spoiled 17 year olds who get z's.

I recommend you save your money for something more important. you're not at a stage in your life where you have a ton of disposable income to waste on the Z.
you spent that 1700$ on a mod that doesn't make much of a difference, then what happens if you have a tranny problem? can you cover the repairs?
food for thought

Guys, look at OP's name...he's gonna have his Z for life, so might as well make it interesting since he's gonna have it forever.
I have a silverstone with black rims/chrome lip and love it. I got the rims before exhaust, made me happy..

Congrats on getting your Z! I got mine for my 18th birthday, so I know what it feels like to jump on the badass 'Z' bandwagon early.
First of all, ignore the jealous *******s that post sarcastic BS whenever they get a chance. But, they're so clever and funny TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!111!
I personally recommend getting the exhaust, but not the HKS. I feel like there are exhausts that are nearly as good for a lot less, like the Borla exhaust, Bassani exhaust, and Invidia dual. I think that performance mods should always come before cosmetic upgrades, but that is my personal philosophy. The sound and feel of a new exhaust is so much more satisfying than a set of new rims... something you can enjoy every time you get in the car and drive.
Again, this is my humble opinion and you should do what makes you feel happy. For me, that would be the exhaust.

personally, I would save up some MORE money to get nice rims. Try to be in the 2k-3k range, buy rims, then buy an exhaust. I did mine backwards. Got an hks, and now getting rims.

Well, I can see you probably won't be retiring earlier than I did (at age 46). Those fancy wheels and performance exhausts won't seem nearly so important then you're still trudging off to work years from now.

I'd recommend that you do the research. Make decisions based on what you learn, not the tastes and opinions of people you don't know from squat.
