Default Trade in value for a Track 350z

Hi I was thinking about trading in my z for a G35coupe i finally realized how inconvenient it is to have a 2 seater as your only car.
I was wondering how much I could get for it it has 7k miles and every option except for navigation but it has leather seats installed by the dealer when i orderd it, and also besides the g35coupe what other cars would you guys recomend that holds more than 2 people? and is not front wheel drive,

Thanks for any replys

I love the G35's.
1st choice is the G35 coupe
2nd would be the WRX STI
3rd is the EVO VIII

No offense, but I disagree. I absolutley love the G35 coupe's styling (not as much as the Z's of course), but when it comes to the 4 dr G35... . I mean, it is still a nice car and all, but the rear end and other stuff is as about as sporty as a honda accord. U might want to look into the new 04' Acura TL as well as the 4 dr G35 and compare and contrast. I know the Acura TL has 270 hp this year.

My $.02

I dont think that the rear end of the sedan looks bad at all.I love the coupe but I think the sedan's styling looks very close to the coupe's.The new Altimas rock and the Maximas are nice cars as well(I would buy either over any Acura) both are FWD though.

I respect your opinion. I proposed the G35 sedan because it is (quite obviously) the 4-door car most like the 350Z. You may or may not like the body style. I think the back end looks decent with a spoiler and--get this--you can even see out of it

I wasn't the one who started calling it the 4-door Z, BTW. That was Car and Driver magazine.

There are lots of threads started about trade in value on the 03 Z.Your best bet is to try and sell it out right.Trade in value is much less than you most likely want to get out of it.Most car dealership websites have a link to Kelly Blue Book which has a trade in calculator.Try that and see what it gives you.

Just remember that if you sell it outright, you're going to pay full blown taxes on the new car. It should be obvious, but some people forget to consider that factor. I'm not saying to trade the car, by any means. I'm only suggesting you calculate your best course of action because there's more than one way to advantageously do this.

I'm trading my Z and I'm taking a big hit, but it works out better than trying to sell it outright, not to mention the time and effort required to do that. No matter what, though, you're going to take a large chunk of depreciation even if you sell it outright. Just figure out what's best for you.

When I sold my Eclipse to get the Z, I went to the DMV and got a form and paid the difference between the two cars. Sold the Eclipse for $15,000, paid $29,000 for the Z, so I only paid sales tax for the $14k difference.

Well, if practicality is what you're looking for then I wouldn't recommend the G35 coupe. Yeah, it has something that looks like a back seat... The only thing more uncomfortable than the backseat of an M3 is the backseat of a G35 coupe. Well, that and Audi TTs have a laughable one back there too.

I'd recommend going up to the G35 Sedan. I love the look and they're very nice cars. Even though owning a 4-doored car is against everything I stand for, my next daily driver might just be a fully loaded Maxima or a G35 Sedan.

Put your game face on and see what the dealer will do for you. The Track is still a pretty rare commodity, so they might be willing to slash quite a bit off the price tag of the new one. If the trade-in offer and discount are greater than what you can sell the car for by yourself, do it!

There aren't many RWDs out there with more room than the Z. The terms "RWD" and "practical" are getting to be very scarce these days....good luck!

Well, the Maxima is FWD and I think the ugly buck tooth in the front ruins it.

Be sure to sit in the back of G35 coupe and look at the headroom. I totally neglected that when I went to an autoshow a year ago, but this time, wow, there really isn't any. Even though I'm only 5'8", I feel like I'd hit my head on the back window going over bumps.

The sedan has way more backroom, but too bad the back is so ugly IMHO.

There are plenty of roomy RWD cars... think Ford Crown Vic or Mercedes... or BMWs beyond the 3 series. Not that I'm a fan of any of these or would recommend them either...
