Mid-Atlantic people, no Track models?
Well, it's quite obvious how frustrated I am with my missing Z. I continue to see more and more VINs every day MUCH higher than mine (some over a 1000 higher than mine) pop up on dealer inventories in the Mid-Atlantic (especially the DC area). However, I have noticed one thing... none of them are Track models. Anyone else have insight on this?

I've noticed the lack of track models too (probably because mine is one). Have any of the deliveries had the aero package on them? Seems there has been a slowing to the arrival of new VINs.. hopefully tomorrow will see a large influx. I got my VIN nearly two weeks ago... or so it seems... but no word of the car yet.

Well, the dealers don't know anything more than we do... Fact is that NoVA dealers were told that they were guaranteed delivery before the end of Sept. I suppose that the Track models were the last to be delivered (bastards!)
I spoke with my dealership's (Carmax - Whitemarsh, MD) sales manager last night...she mentioned that they don't expect any of their pre-ordered track models until October. Mine on the other hand is expected today

Andrew, I hope you do get yours today, but I didn't see any on the inventory list. According to ZISME, VINs are released once the ship leaves port... I received my VIN a month ago...
I've had a VIN since August 15th (may have been assigned earlier but that's when I contacted the dealer). I suspect the reason that we are seeing so few track models is simply because they only account for 8% of the cars ordered and because the total number of cars delivered in the Mid Atlantic area has been very small. It's this last factor that I still can't figure out.
Well, it seems that you and I both are in the same situation. I would have thought that our Track Z's would arrive before ones in the midwest and central Canada... Hell, I almost ordered from a dealer in Kansas to avoid the market adjustment scare... maybe I should have, as I'd probably have my car now...

My dealer originally gave me a date of Sept 12th (from an Annapolis dealership like wx's friend), but after that sentence, the dealer followed it with another "well, they're actually supposed to get here on the 5th"... don't know what all that's supposed to mean, but he seemed to know less than I did.. maybe that's just his game ;-) anyway, we'll soon see as the 5th is tomorrow and the 12th isn't toooo terribly far away.
