Blue book says it's worth 15,200 in the Los Angeles area. I guess 14,500 is fine. Ever considered getting a Redline Nismo? Those things are so sexy.... glad you made it out ok.

Make them a lowball offer to buy the car, check the alignment, fix what needs to be fixed to keep driving it, and have fun with it. It'll sure make parking it at the local WalMart a lot easier.

Depending on your flow situation, buy it back and buy a new one...

It just really makes me mad that I put all the work into that car cleaning it and making it look better than new, only to get it smashed and then to go through the trouble of trying to find one in the same price range that is as nice as that one was. It is just frustrating

Having a 350Z as a beater has gotta have some appeal.

GL. I totaled my 03 Touring ( Rain + Deer + Corner= ) with 34,000 miles last year and got 14,300$ for it... bought an 03' touring with 36,xxx miles for 14,400$ You'll find another Z and love it just as much as that one

I was in the same boat about a month ago. My Nismo was totaled by a drunk and I was really pissed because I spent so much time finding that car and travelling to purchase it. I also meticulously maintained it. I thought I would never find one again with as low miles and maintained as nice as mine was, but I did. I am back in another Nismo that was well maintained and am back enjoying my car again. OP, just take your time and look around. There are plenty of Z's out there that are garage queens and you can find good deals if you are patient.

Good luck.

yea, I would see what they want to buy it back. You could likely part it out and come out on top if you do it yourself.
