Default Any other old geezers out there?

After seeing all the posts in this forum from teenagers, I got to wondering...any other old geezers out there?

I'm 56, the new (2 weeks) owner of a 2003 Track Z (slightly used, er, both the Z and me ;-) First car that's mine since my '65 GT-350 Shelby Mustang (I'll rave about that car in the "vehicles" forum soon). Nismo exhaust on the way...maybe a CAI soon also.

I have four boys, ages 10 to 25, and we're all fast motorcycle riders (street, dirt) so I'm used to rubbing elbows with the youngsters.

A professor (Mechanical Engineering) of my advanced age and status should be driving a Benz (or riding a Goldwing), but nuts to that! Z cars and Ducatis (and Aprilias and dirt bikes) forever!

So...any like-minded folks in their 50s and 60s out there?

55 here! There are quite a few of us old folks around. However, I believe we are all young at heart.

Regards!

I'll be 36 in two months... I figured I was the oldest here

I have a Track model with
NIMSO headers
NISMO intake
cat pipes (for track use only)
350EVO swaybars
Enkei RPO2-J and Yokohama AO32R for the track
Crawford plenum

Car is great... ton's of fun at the track (Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas Motor Speedway, The Motorsports Ranch... road course, not drag racing). I always have people asking me if they can get a ride with me.

You are never too old to have fun in a car!

55 next month. Love the car and how fun it is to drive. 3600 mile trip this month made me really appreciate the handling and ride once I ditched the original tires. I still wish I had the 72 240Z though.

DrGreg: Wow! I can't be the oldest on the site. I'm 63 and Clin Prof of Child/Adol Psychiatry at UCSF Med School. Have had my private practice in East Bay for as long as I can remember. My kids (23 & 36) also keep me young--mtn and road bikes for over 30 years. I'm used to being the oldest on group rides. I'm not 'geezin' yet.

I've avoided the stereotype of the doctor with a MB or BMW. lol
But Datsuns/Nissans have been loads of fun.

Archman350Z is also an engineer. I listen to his posts.

I was in my teens when the Z was first built.
When I finally could afford one (in 1980s) I didn't like what Nissan was building...

I've waited 30 years for this car!!

Just turned 54 here and have placed order for ZR LS/BO w/5AT. I'm counting the days, hopefully no more than 90. First sports car, did tons of research, testing and driving. To me, this seems to be the most FUN car out there, whether you mod it up or not, IMO.
