I was working from home last year. I pulled the motor to do the turbo swap. Then I started having to go in every day, and started working 60+ hours a week over the course of the next 6 months and onward. So it's been in progress since.

I own two cars, a 350z and a Jeep Commander. My Jeep is loaded, new, and more valuable than my 2003 350z. So that makes the Z the lesser car (value wise), and maybe my “winter beater?”
I plan on buying a 2010 Maxima next year... that won't make my Z my "winter beater" due to it's role (a toy) and personal value, not it's monetary value.

exactly, my Z has a lot of personal value to me, so i choose to not drive it in the winter.

Don't know what that's like. I live in So Cal.....We probably get 10 to 15 days of rain, if that.

And I pay $179 full coverage for three cars....
