Does owning a Z turn you into a douche??
Around da Burgh most z's that I come across will give a wave or head nod, esp. those rolling the 300s. Granted there aren't many of us around here, but oddly it seems it's usually the ones with body kits that are piloted by d-bags (havin a lip kit myself, and generally not bein a d-bag, I dunno what that's about) 
I will say tho, when I had my GTO it was a lot more prevalent to get some acknowledgement, but there are even less of them around. Before that I got NO waves in the mustang, but I woulda been waving every 1/2 mile

I live in Miami, I have had Z's altima coupes and other tuners in general compliment the nismo 350 i drive. only once did i run into a nismo 370z who was an ******* and just wanted to start **** and almost ran me off the road. but 99% people are usually cool.

yeah ak people are always cool about waving, but here in AZ they are terrible about it.. UNLESS its a heavily moddded car. But if it only has one or two things on it, i thnk the idea is that they feel a bit outdone if youre driving a mega mod car. Theres a lot of ego involved in our cars, hate to say.
One group i notice is ALWAYS cool enuff to wave are the mega cars, Buggattis, Lambos, etc... they all seem to respect good machines.
It happens, but yeah, ive noticed that the Z32 crowd was all really much more cool w waving etc.

When I had my 06 It encouraged the douche attitude in me, u know the usual. When I got rid of it for a prius I felt like saving the world so I didn't use toilet paper for a month. Now that I am in the market back for a Z, I feel the douche resurfacing sometime soon.
The point of the story here is; whatever car you drive, brings a certain character out. Just like if u drive a 3 series ur automatically an asshat.

I was driving yesterday and i hear a car honk twice so i look in my mirror and saw a Z driving on the other side of the road, i honked back. Its cool when stuff like that happens. but around here, there are some a**holes that think their the sh*t
I have noticed this in NY a lot. It's usually the younger kids who start poppin off when they see another Z, especially a modded one like mine. There's one white 06 Z I'll see from time to time. I once waved to him and he took off showing me the full force of that JDM JIM WOLF POPCHARGER SONN!!!! He seems me again 4 days later on another highway, but he was behind me entering on a ramp. But as soon as he saw my car again, he decided it'd be cool to blow by me at 100+.

It seems here in Atlanta(north) there are a lot of older guys in drop tops.They are usually too busy smoking and talking on the phone to wave back.As far as bieng a douche,I can only assume the guy who had it before me was one,I am still trying to get the vinegar smell out!

I'm a 40 year old black male Z owner.I live in the DC metro area which has a very diverse group of 350 Z owners and this is what I experience-White,black and latino Z owners always give some type of head nod or light flicker.Asian,middle eastern and females of any race almost never.Therefore the last group I mentioned I dont even bother too acknowledge anymore.I'm not trying to make a race issue out of this its just something I have noticed in the three years of owning my Z.

With the 350's being discontinued, there are getting to be alot on the road these days. It just get's tiring to wave at every single Z driver. I'm not saying there are as many as Honda's or anything but there has definitely been an increase around Houston, TX
so true, I live in north charlotte towards harris BLVD, and it seems like the closer you get towards lake norman, the douchier the Z drivers get (besides a couple of the guys on the forums of course.)
if you ever see a really loud PPW z it's probably me so give the old
I've gotten in the zone before and not realized the Z going the other way with a wave out the window. Kinda feel bad about not responding in kind...

Driving a lowered Z can be involving. Especially if you stare or look at something too long, you'll start to veer that direction.

Every Jeep Wrangler person Waves at me. Most are hot girls....
Not 1 person in another Z has waved at me. Even that MRC guy Julian threw me some dirty looks when i passed him around town back in the day. Every time i see DUKE its at a red light and we all know what happens then...
