This pertains to the "17 year olds getting Z's" debate...
We just see so many accidents because of street racing, always kids.
Im not gonna get into the argument that i went into in this thread before...but im just wondering...what exact age do u gotta be to own a Z without gettin crap from the older members? Or does it solely depend on how you got the Z in the first place...( parents, paid for/paying for yourself, etc)

No age really. Just don't feed us a load of bull $hit making all these claims on how it is paid for, making investments having your own corporation, etc. Also use the damn search function, we're not hear to answer your every question. And if you get some cheap, tacky "mods" to your car; don't expect us to appreciate it.

Just kidding, I'm not 16.
I agree with Hraesvelg, it's very improbably that you could truly be independent of your parents and afford a Z (not just make payments) at age 16-20.
I'm 16 and I have my own corporation. I also made a couple investments and now I'm driving an Z.

i have no intentions of being a bad *** just cuz i got a z, i have mines stockish but i cherish it for what it is, i've seen so many kids with z driving n treating them like **** that it makes me wanna cry. it really lowers the value of the cars.

I guess the problem is SOME young guys talk so much shiet that they are begging to get put down. I don't really care how old anyone is as long as they don't try to lie about things.
Weds night at the drags I watched a kid in the high school class who told me what a hot driver he was, turn a 20.68 at the drags. He was driving a 2008 roadster that his parents gave him. One of the problems with young people is that they THINK that they are good drivers. I don't know how anyone can turn a 20 second 1/4 in a Z even if they miss a couple shifts and have a crappy launch.

lol haha wow did you ***** slap that douche for talking out his ***... lol and the bad part about it was he probably had an automatic lol haha
You have to put your age on your entry form and they announce it when you run in the eliminations. Lets see..7 seconds difference = 20+ car lengths hahaha
I don't know what he had. He came over to the sport street class just to talk smack to me, so I watched him run. He gave the 350Z a bad rep. If he had been in my class I would have arranged to get him to run against. The announcer would have humiliated him by saying "the 17 year old was just demolished by 20 car lengths by a grandfather". They do that kind of thing at Infineon Raceway, so it isn't just here on this site.

Kids these days.. Thats just aweful man.. speechless
I've been to BCT at Ft. Jackson. I don't know how wise it would be to be 18-20 (because you'd be at most an E-4) to spend your entire pay check (which is not a lot) on a car.
