I'm 18 ..
Bought my 07 350Z last saturday
I have NO credit .. just finished college for auto collision / refinishing (took it during my senior year of high school) and got my first job as a painter at a dodge dealer body shop for a month, and got my dad to cosign the loan
ended getting mine for 400 / month with 3K down (which covered tax / tag / title and some of the car)
As someone said .. when your young (like me) and make decent amount of money (15 / hour or 30K / year) and you have NO bills except maybe a little "rent" for your parents or "gas money"
than its no problem to get a new car .. has a bunch of pluses
1) builds my credit
2) very reliable car for work (NO more money on car parts to fix everything)
3) keeps cops from following me (been driving a red 91 mr2 turbo)
4) and im sure theres more
but anyways .. if I make two to three thousand a month .. why not spend some on a nice car and save the rest for a house in a year or two?
plus I have no wife and kids (yet)

Exactly. That's what Honda made B16's and B18's for.

Forced Induction + Install/Tuning + Fuel System + Dyno + etc., etc. will take up more than half of that, then add on the parts to build the motor, transmission, and an aftermarket clutch kit. Then add on the exhaust + test pipes or HFC's. You're obviously going to want to lighten the car, so add in Carbon Fiber replacement parts, lighter rims, etc., etc. Then factor in the labor cost to have all this work done to your car, and that's going to be in the thousands of dollars. After all that, you're pretty much pushing your budget, or you've gone over budget. This kid wants to smoke EVERYTHING he encounters on the street with his 350Z, so he's going to have a major build that he obviously isn't mature enough to even have in the first place since he want to be out street racing in a 900+ horsepower motor vehicle.

Also, with 25k into a Z Your not gunna smoke everything on the streets. Try selling Your Z and buying a civic, they're cheap to build.
