why? shes gonna have a rich grandson then several years in the future that is already making $70,000 base salary on his own... there was an LA city rookie firefighter who made $200,000 last year with overtime. that got people outside of the department pissed though, but it means its possible.

By the way, people who say "I will be making $xxx,000 when I graduate" rank very high on my People-I-Want-To-Kick-In-The-Face list.

Hope leads to crushing disappointment.
Being realistic leads to preparedness.
CEO's don't see someone with a degree and kidnap them, forcing them to work 30 hour weeks in a cushy leather chair for six figure salaries. At least not here in the Unite State.

well i may become an officer in the us navy first and then that would make a firefighting career with my education a sure thing. i could go to paramedic school just for icing on the cake too. after that i would like to invest in retirement homes or just in old people in general because by 2020 1/5 americans will be 65 years or older. maybe a diner one day too. ive got big dreams, hopefully i can have success like some of you older members have had to get to this point.
