That was my whole point, most boys drive like maniacs no matter what they drive, so giving them an ultra high performance vehicle is irresponsible.

Ditto .

Fortunately my parents were more mature than this kids’s . My first car was a 1970 VW Bug –going downhill, I might hit 70 MPH, if the hill was long enough.

After 2 years of that car, showing I was responsible & mature with a car, I was allowed to buy a 1974 Chevy Vega GT as my first new car. And that car was a true POS even new. I think I might have eventually reached 90 MPH once in it. I kept that car through college.

The point being, most posts here not only show how immature & irresponsible 17 year olds are, but also reflect how immature their parents are.

Age is not a gauge of maturity level.

My first car was a 1988 Plymouth Voyager, that my parents made me buy off them for $500. I couldn't even keep up with traffic on the interstate in that thing. Floored, it wouldn't go any faster than 85mph. Everyone in both the slow and fast lanes were giving me pissed off looks whenever they passed me.

16-25 = 9 year gap
25-65 = 40 year gap

I'd hope the latter age group is a lot larger than the prior.

I don't see how he classifies 25 year olds and 65 year olds in the same group. I know plenty of guys in their late twenties, even some into their early thirties, who would think nothing of driving like an idiot just as much as a 21 or 22 year old.

A 50-year-old on the other hand, not so much.

My first car was a 33 Chev Master. Blue flame 6cyl, when I was 16. I paid $25 for it (no loan, paid cash lol) and it could maybe go 70 if the downhill was long enough. It had 19" wheels on it, so I guess I was ahead of my times. hahaha I liked to get it up on two wheels (which was not a problem at all) and then feel it drop the other two wheels with this giant thud. Good thing I didn't have anything faster. I was an idiot like a lot of these guys on here now.

In that grouping is the "baby boomers" The largest group of people in the US at this time.

If my parents bought me a GTR I would GLADLY take the hate comments while posting pictures of me standing next to it naked, with with a pair of sunglassess, with my middle fingers up and a full on erection.

If my parents bought me a GTR when I was 17, I would probably be as much of a price wanna be baller as the rest in this thread. And I would probably not appreciate cars nearly as much as I do now.

I think that's the point

So far I have found 2 with the same user name. 42 and 52, or so they claim.

No but I do drive it naked. I feel that to really become one with your car you need to drive it in the nude. You noobs think driving a manual lets you really control the car? Drive it with your **** out in the open. Now thats some real driving. If you don't agree you're a ***.

speaking of GTRs...I was rolling on PCH just cruising and a R35 was rolling next to me for a few miles. I guess he was going to be turning soon so he slows down and then revs past me...friggin ricer fly by.

I think he was angry my car was so much louder than his.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Driving in the nude is quite offensive to some people. More so I guess when your **** is homeless.

Agreed there. You don't begin to appreciate cars until you drive the **** out of beer-can excuses for such.
