1994 Nissan 300ZX (Circa 2004, I had it for a week before it burned down on the way to school)
2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (Circa 2004, this gave me a little taste of driving a "sporty" car before it was totalled)
2001 Nissan Xterra (Circa 2005, this was the car I had to tide me over until I could afford a Z)
2004 Nissan 350Z (My love)

I think its kinda cool I had a Z for my first car, and then moved up to the 350Z later on.

was 19 before my first car.

2005 Acura RSX-S
2002 GSX-R1000 (Motorcycle)
2007 Nissan 350z Roadster Enthusiast

i'm 22 now.

As long as the person is paying for the car themselves, let them get whatever their finances and egos can handle. Darwin will do the rest. (At least that applies to motorcycles, not so much cars since theres so much protection nowadays)

1988 Honda Civic for $800
1992 Honda Accord for $1000
1993 Honda Accord for $3500
2003 Nissan 350Z $19000

It shouldn't matter how you worked your way up, i work full time, go to school part time, i'm 18, just picked up an CS 08 350Z enthusiast with 20" wheels, why? Cause i liked it.

I began driving when i was 17, i would just drive my sisters or moms and dads cars, it has nothing to do with my age.

I make the money, and i spend it how i like.

This is why teenagers are always getting flamed. I would really like to know how your paying for a brand new 08 z with 20s. If you invented something and made an *** of money that cool but i seriously dought that you can afford those payments.
I worked 50 hours a week all last summer and ony made about a g a month and that would be my entire car payment. Im 18 and i couldnt afford a car like the z on my own. My parents are helping me with payments and insurance.
All the money i earn goes towards college which they are not helping with.

+1. i think speedeamon is blowin smoke up our collective ***.

I got mine at 18 after drivin a 4runner for a few years. I'm a fairly good driver and I dont do stupid ****, and I always pay attention to what I'm doin. there was a 17 year old girl at my school that got an auto 04 Z and wrapped it around a tree from what I heard, totalled obviously. Just depends on the kid, whether or not they should have a high powered sports car. Would it have been better if I had to work for it? probably. I'm not gonna argue with my luck though.

Basicaly it was a graduation present. I have some scholarships and some investements so if i co-op a few semesters i can pretty much get by on college without taking out any loans.
Kinda their way of saying thanks for not making us pay for your college.

i was in 2002 when i was 16
2002-couple of integra from 94-01
2006- 99 civic si
2007- 2004 honda s2000
2007- 2004 G35 coupe
2007- 2006 Subaru STI
2007- another 2004 honda S2000

I didn’t come from a rich family and was always independent when I was young. All cars from the beginning till now were all purchase from myself, and payoff with years, and years of saving and working.

I have a 350z and I am 17. I do not understand why it is about age. My family is fairly fortunate and its dissapointing to see people get all upset because I didnt buy my own car. My father is very passionate about cars and that is one thing we share. So for someone to say it is rediculous for me to own a Z, must not realize that every kid is not the same. I work and I do have money. I have a CRX race car which I am building (I bought off this board) and thats were my money goes. I am not argueing the fact that kids make bad desicions but I am emphisizing the fact that just because it was given does not mean it was a bad thing. Many kids do appriciate what they have and a lot of the time get a lot out of it.
