If you think your grammar and spelling is atrocious, then I strongly urge you to go back through this thread for some pristine examples of idiocy. To be honest with you I remember some of your post in the FI section and would have never guessed you to be so young.
The problem with most of the young guys in this thread is that they come in this thread expecting us to believe that they are paying their own way through life on a part time job. Many of them claim to be the best of drivers with only a year of experience. You come here and were honest and also appreciative that your parents have helped you out. Nothing wrong with that.
Good luck at Cal Poly
You are excused from all farm animal/****/mom's teet/nut in your nose/gangbanging gf/ inanimate object jokes

Nah just playin, wanted to see the reactions. Dont have one yet, but soon.
I dont know if you want to consider it "paying for it myself". My parents saved me 18K since I was young for college. Got a 100% scholarship to the school I want to go to, so they're letting me put the money into the car I want. I'm also waiting to ship to USMC boot camp in the summer(reserves) and should get another 5-7K from all the bonuses and boot camp pay. Going to try to get a DE and start a single turbo project. I've also seen some boosted 350's around here for 18k.
Not the best investment, but whatever.

Thing is, my dad might sign over the car I'm driving right now to me aswell if I do go through with attending the school, which I will. Its a 2010 tC, and I can get roughly 16K for it. I'm thinking of just scrapping the FI idea since its such a huge money pit and just getting a good well taken care of Z with the money I'm getting for the tC

In college, a friend of mine put money down on a house, then collected rent from his 3 roommates. The money they gave him for rent nearly covered most of his mortgage. Being young and having no credit, you'll need your parents to co-sign, but they sound supportive, so it may be an option.
Thanks for the heads up.

Well I am 19 and I've had the following cars:
1. 1998 Buick Regal GS supercharged
2. 2005 Scion xB (Embarassed to say I had it)
3. 1999 Nissan Maxima 5-speed (I loved this car)
4. 2003 350z 6 speed
I am making payments on it and still owe 9k. Everyone thinks my daddy bought it but they are wrong.

I got a 9.5k loan at 18 for my second car with no cosigner... 2003 Z's can be had for around that. Or with some cash on top.
