In response to all of you naysayers about me owning my Z. My parents did not pay for it. I live in a strict family guys. I immigrated to the states when i was 4 and in our culture you provide for yourself. I didnt grow up with all the fancy things you kids did instead i didnt have **** my whole life. I HAD TO WORK FOR IT. Built good financial ethics and thank my parents every day for how they taught me. They have never spoiled me, even have never given me christmas presents. I have always saved my money rather then spending it on nonsense. I have been working since I was ten, first selling items door-to-door, i made over 10 grand. all my friends dropped their jaws everytime i told em stories about me working. i really dont mind if any of you kids want to ***** about it but its the honest truth so wtf... after my door to door deal ive worked with my dad and uncle for adams finish carpentry, any of you guys want, look it up. RUBENS construction is the general contracter for my dads business. People never believe me when i tell them its my car and my age but thats fine becuz i have had more girls then any of you guys and im half your age so go blow a donkeys dick. have a nice day.
and wtf did you sell to make 10k at 10 yrs old selling door to door!

1999 Civic LX Sedan - This was my first car when I turned 16 in 2004. My Dad owned it and basically allowed me to drive it for free since he had another car.
2006 Hyundai Tiburon GS - Bought in June of 2006 when I was 18. My Dad cosigned in order for me to get approved financing. I made all loan/insurance payments.
2008 350Z Base - Now 20 and actually sporting a nice, stable job I decided to upgrade to something with more than 130 horse power. Bought at the end of October, the title and loan is in my name and my name only.

88 Ford Bronco XLT Manual 5 speed, two tone brown/tan: My parents bought me this truck when I turned (16 yrs old). It was a great truck and the last year that they made decent broncos and not the **** piles they became. Wish I still had it. And to the lady who t-boned me trying to make an illegal u-turn while talking on your cell phone, may you get genital warts. Had this car for about 6-7 years.
98 SS Camaro Manual 6 speed, red: (23 yrs old) I purchased this car after my Bronco was totaled. Well not right away, I spent a great deal of time searching for the perfect one. Bought it with 14,000 miles on it from some grandpa who never went over 55. Oh, and for the money you can't really beat a V8 Camaro.
08 Nissan Base 350z: (27 years old) I purchased this car recently. Maybe 4 months ago with 500 miles on it. I just got bored with my maro, and I always thought the Z was the sex. So yea I test drove a bunch of cars like RX-7's which I really liked, EVO X's which I couldn't tell cuz know one would let me go above 3.5 rpm plus they were very expensive, couldn't ever find a Mazda Speed 6 or S2000 to drive, drove some mini's just not my cup of tea. So yea gotta Z.

My first car that I owned/purchased was a used 2006 redline enthusiast z. I drove my parents cars around all through highschool and saved. I lived at home and thankfully had parents that were nice enough to allow me to stay rent free. I worked hard though highschool, and when I graduated I started selling cars at nissan. After 3 good months of selling cars at a nissan dealer here in az, I was salesman of the month and received a decent bonus and some great spiffs that month which allowed me to finally purchase my first car. I am 19 years old now, and owned the car since november of 07, when i was 18. Don't get me wrong, without my parents teaching me good work ethic and supporting me through highschool, I wouldn't have ever had such an opportunity. Sorry for the long post, but nice meeting you guys and I look forward to being more involved in the forums!!!

I don't understand why on every forum there are these people that think just because someone is young and maybe their parents bought them their car, they don't deserve to have it and it's "wrong" for them to own such a vehicle. Let's say your 40 years old and your rich uncle dies, leaving you $10 million. Would it then be wrong of you to buy yourself that Ferrari you've always wanted? Would you not buy that for yourself because you didn't work your way up and earn it? There are young people out there that are responsible and appreciate what they are given, myself included. If a parent has worked hard their whole life to be able to give their children what THEY think the child has worked for or deserves, why is it any business of yours? Are you just jealous or do you actually think it is dangerous or immoral for a person who's family may be more well off to have nicer things than you may have had growing up? I can tell you one thing for sure- I had a much nicer car that a lot of my friends when i turned 16 and I didn't pay for it, but I didn't speed in it or drive recklessly, any more than any 50 year old man did on the street. I always kept my car clean and took great care of it because i respected it and was extremely thankful for it. Nobody ate or drank in that car, it was never abused and my Dad had me take multiple defensive driving and racing courses at Mid Ohio before I got the car (great experiences that i recommend!) Just because someone is young doesn't mean they are an ignoramus that's going to race at every light and try to drift through an intersection. You can think I and others don't deserve whatever you please, but trying to insult us using only age to judge character and level of intelligence shows your immaturity, not ours.
P.S.
I am 18 YO, turning 19 in February. My first car was a 2006 mustang that I did not pay for. After working and saving up money throughout high school, I sold my mustang and now have 26k in the bank. I plan to invest 5,000 and spend the rest on my next car which may be a z.
