Smaller wheels + higher FD ratio = huge gains through 1/4 mile.

I bought a sports car to drive Ms. Daisy in it as well.

Just giving you a hard time... enjoy it. Seriously though... it is okay to give it some stick on the streets.

If it already had 2000 miles on it, then I think someone else broke it in.

Hopefully they did it the right way.

12.7 @ 108mph is a good 1320' time.

You might want to bump shifting to around 3k... shifting at 2k will drop you down to ~1k at the next gear... which is putting quite a load on the engine. Just a thought...

Thank you-like I posted in the 1/4 mile times section-clean, tough, & fast - just like the Nissan God intended it to be.

I don't see any issue with this as long as its light throttle (low load) acceleration. I shift @ 2k all the time if the car is not warmed up or if I'm not in a hurry.

Thanks. It was not easy to find 17" wheels with the offset & width that I wanted/needed. 5 Zigen were on sale, $180 for 17"- $320 for 19"/20". Since I was looking for 17s, I did well price wise. Tires are 5 star rated Continental. No thumping noise like the (stock) Bridgstones. Size 235/45/17 front-275/40/17 rear.

Thanks for your advice. The wear on an engine is much less when engines makes less revolutions(rpm), & gas mileage saving help with Mobil1 oil changes

I don't care for most mods.
you can still go 4K+ for a change. Mine has 122k on it and gets changed every 5k or 2 days on the track. My track sessions are around 100 miles a day with plenty of WOT.

Nice car, keep the maintenance up like you do, oil changes at 2k is just fine. I do at 2,500 just because I feel like doing it. I also believe it can't hurt.

I left the suspension stock. Lowered the look & improved the handling by using smaller/wider tires/wheels. Tires are 5 star rated Continentals. Sizes, front 235/45/17-rear 275/40/17. Great fun driving on curvy roads of upstate N.Y. I love my 350z.
Try driving the **** out it, you may actually find out you can enjoy it more.

Default For those that don't know-I Do drive the sh*t out of it:)

ONLY when I drag race. I shift at 7450 rpm+-
The car screams!!!!
Its like being w a woman
Drive it slow & smooth all week(forplay), when the right time comes (1/4 mile) go thru the gate & bang the sh** out of it in all 4 gears, till you climax at the finish line, with a great time

You basically just said that you climax in under 13s. Maybe we should try another simile.
