Nissan will replace leather ONE TIME!!
I've had my 2003 touring now for 14 months. A few weeks ago, I noticed how badly the drivers seat was wearing. The leather was about to tear on the side bolster. I brought the car to my dealer to have them look at it. The area rep authorized them to replace the seat but I was warned they will ONLY do this ONCE.. If it happens again, I'm out of luck.. I'm a bit dissapointed in how there taking this. I'm 6" tall and weigh 175 lbs. I don't beat on the car and it shows.. except for the seat. So.. Should I have it done now OR wait for a later date when the wear is worse.. What would you do??

Screw them, if its a problem and its under warrenty and it happens over and over again, theres no way that its YOUR fault. I say get it doen and if it wears to quickly again and they wont replace it, I would call NNA (as useless as they are) and then hire a lawyer and fiel a lemon suit.
They originally told me leather wasnt covered under warranty also..But it seems that they could not find the section in the warranty book which excluded the leather from the 36month,36000mile FULL warranty..So they are fixing it..

I haven't had any problem with mine but my '88 wore out the side bolster pretty bad so I've altered the way I get in - instead of sliding in the normal way sort of plop youself in w/o hitting the side bolster. It takes alittle getting used to but it'll save wear.
