Does anyone regret buying their 350Z or 350ZR?
Just looking for feedback, thoughts and experiences while owning their 350z/350ZR. Here is where I am, looking for a 3rd car which will be a fair weather DD and hopefully a convert. I need a dependable and reliable car that is not in the shop all of the time, etc. I have owned 3 previous Boxster cars and loved them. Despite the IMS and RMS issue I never had any issues with my cars and used them a lot. I love the feel, power and sound. Not looking for a rocketship as I drive like an old man. What I can't ignore is the price of an 06/07 350ZR with low miles. From searching the web and forum it seems like the complaints are pretty minimal.
I will try to go and test drive a Z within the next few weeks but am looking for feedback on ownership and the overall experience with owning a 350Z.
Thanks!!

There's a thread entitled "what do you hate most about your Z"
That'll show you all the possible problems you'll run into with a Z. Test drive the car, read through that threas, then you can decide if you the the Z is the right fit.

i regret not getting back to the dealer soon enough to get the enthusiast model in Pikes peak white. Sold the same day I drove it
Bright side i got a PPW base for a steal, and less than 8,000 miles on it.
+1 to reading the thread about what people hate about their Z.
Most if not all is side effects of owning/driving any car--rattles, parts wearing out, etc etc...
All in all, love the Z, want moar money to put into her....

Thanks for the replies, kind of what I thought which was most praise, not any major issues and a few little nagging things.
I think from searching on here an 07+ model is best. Due to budget (about $20K) I am hoping I can find the right car if I move forward with a Z over a Boxster S. There are 2 or 3 nice 07 Blk/Blk 6sp converts that seem very well cared for with under 20K miles. Initial issue is they are asking $25K. KBB, etc has that as a bit high but I wonder if an 07 with the options I want, low miles, blk/blk 6sp can be bought for under $20K?
I do like the idea of not worrying about engine failure which is a significant issue with the Boxster cars. If an IMS goes bad it's a very expensive repair!
Once this brutal storm passes Philly I will try to test drive a ZR within the next 2 weeks.

Not even for a second. If anything I love my car more as each day passes. I think the 350z is the perfect blend of style, speed, and performance. However probably the best thing about the car is that every time I step inside of her I get this ridiculous smile.
I've had a couple of problems with the vehicle that I wouldn't expect, and frankly, I love the damn thing so much that it doesn't even bother me. Nothing that a few hundred dollars couldn't fix. The driving experience is EXACTLY what I want, it is a blast on the track, I love the way it looks, sounds, feels...seriously just go drive one.
Not a single regret.

I know only I can answer these questions but I am curious how the ZR compares to a Boxster S. Not in speed, but overall fit, finish, feel, driving experience. My biggest concern is buying a ZR and in a few months selling it for a Boxster S. Guess I won't know till I get out and spend some time in a ZR.
