Default Greyhound shipping experiences anyone?

Hey guys, I'm about to have someone ship a front bumper and sides to me through greyhound. I've heard of a couple horror stories but I just wanted to ask everyone their experiences, good and bad. I don't want to pay a lot of money for something that's gong to arrive damaged.

I've had tires shipped via greyhound and didn't have any problems with them.

Best kept secret in shipping. Just demand excessive packaging!

I've used them numerous times without problems. I just shipped a grill guard w/lights for a H2 just wrapped in bubble wrap, arrived in 30 hours from NC to Fl.. I was lucky on that one, they had the room on the connecting bus. Other times it took a few days.

I shipped a front bumper, space available, wrapped in bubble wrap and duct tape. No problems.

I shipped a bumper through Greyhound a few years ago. It made it safely and was super cheap.

I have shipped an exhaust system from socal and a y from fl, and had great experiences with both, but a steel exhaust system would be hard to damage lol.

Shipped a bumper once. Get it packaged correctly, it's the best deal in town.

One time I shipped myself from Brunswick Georgia to Clarskville Tennessee. The bus drivers were rude, I'm pretty sure I almost got head lice and I did see them manhandling some of the packages. As others said, definately get it packed well.

Keep in mind that this is all going on the bottom of a bus.. make sure that the pieces are excessively bubble wrapped.

I had a bumper shipped to me from CA to GA, was supposed to be here Dec 16 and I just got it yesterday. So aside from it taking a month longer than it should, the bumper was undamaged and it went ok I guess

Shipped a an entire rear hatch before from Alabama to Washington with no problems....package the **** out of it though like everyone has been saying. They like to "throw" the packages around like the guys at the airport with your personal belongings
