I know..I waited 6 days for a reply at all. Then basically it's "you're screwed - thanks for chosing Bose"

Maybe, and I mean maybe, if ALL of the touring model customers scream loud enough at NNA or even ZISME, we can get them to do something. ... Yea, I know, ... see that flying pig overhead. Just a thought, or maybe a hope.

well good. I am glad the tech guy was so freaking short and uninformative. Now we can get together and make them eat their shitty product.

any lawyers out there? I think this product classifies as being a lemon.

Cool

Never fear, this is not the end, only the beginning. SOME COMPANY is going to eat this f*cking system. Nissan or Bose. It's time for them to decide.

Bose is very tight lipped about their product but I've learned the Bose Cadillac system uses a microphone for the AVC so I'd guess they do the same for the Z. Duct tape on the microphone would fix this but where is the microphone? When I get mine
(today or tomorrow) and IF the AVC is a problem I'll go searchin'
for it.
Surprizingly, the Bose systems in other cars seem to be adequate to very good. I don't know why they dropped the ball
on this one or even if it's that bad as MY CAR IS IN NEWPTG@##
NEWS. But others pretty consistantly have complained so I'm a bit worried.

Have you checked out ClubRSX? Pretty much all the RSX owners with Bose systems have complained about it (including me). Bose systems seem to be only marginally better than the stock systems.

If Bose decided to add a feature to turn off the auto-volume, would it be possible without replacing peices of hardware? For example do you think there is a way to update the radio's firmware? If not, I doubt it will ever be fixed because of it's expense.

IM starting to notice what you guys are complaining about but on my touring is noticible at certain volume levels....the rear speakers and the sub seem worthless.

well if i have to replace this bose system because im fed up with it...someone is gonna give me cash for it nissan or bose.

If we all complain in a mass letter signed by everyone...that would move mountains.

If someone w/ a bit more audio knowledge than I types it up, I'll sign it...maybe we can circulate it via FAX.
