Default F00ked by Nissan again!

F00ked by Nissan again!

My car came in May 2010 with a new 84 month battery. Midway Nissan said that was another reason not to subtract from the price I paid.

It died yesterday.

I called to make an appointment to replace it and was asked for paperwork. I don't have any and asked them to look in the system. Nothing. I asked them to contact Midway as I don't use them because they stink.

They call back 15 minutes later, no record of the battery going in my car.

As I need my car I went to Kragen and bought a battery. Adios 120.00.

I called Nissan corporate and fully expect they will tell me I am sol.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I hate Nissan!

Sorry to hear that, but no paperwork is no paperwork. Now you know why people keep reciepts on important purchases. My dad still has his reciept for a set of craftsman hand tools he bought back in his 30's. Lol. Gotta love lifetime warranty.

This is the main reason why I just cant get myself to buy another Nissan. I have the Z and a Titan and I've been pretty much on my own since day 1. I know some dealers are better than others, but in this area they suk the big hairy meatballs.

What paperwork is needed. You have a 2010, the battery is from 2010. Its bad, its a Nissan battery, only sold by Nissan.

I got no paperwork, not I lost it.

The battery came with the car from a Nissan dealer. They did not properly bill it to the car nor make a record of the installation.

It was inferred that the battery came with the car purchased at a Nissan facility that the NEW battery had the warranty it says it has on the NEW BATTERY!

Same here And corp is worse than worthless. They can't be reached and take forever to call back.

I will never own another Nissan.

What "paperwork" are they asking for? It is pretty obvious what the date on the battery is, they have the "paperwork" that says you bought the car from them ( I assume) and from there they should simply replace it. And dealers wonder why we call the stealers?

Two dealers said they need the retail receipt or the internal purchase order. They both looked in the system and one called the selling dealer.

My guess is it came out of a new car.

Did I mention I am not a fan of Nissan?

:P

Might want to read the label a little more carefully... you actually got more out of it than expected.

Agree.

I always assumed that the sticker on the battery was good enough. Midway should give you a new battery as a courtesy. At least now you know where NOT to take your car.

I don't know what your talking about. My neighbor has a 350z also and his engine started burning more oil then gas. I went with him to Nissan and they replaced the engine. No questions asked, all they needed was to see his ownership.

I realize they ****ed up your paperwork but Nissan has been good to him and to me too with all the letters i needed to come over the boarder.

Sorry to hear about your story.

I am very happy for you and your friend, I have the exact opposite experience.

I am rebuilding an engine that began consuming oil at 18k and just over a year after Nissan replaced it and they told me to f*ck off because they know they will last 12k and a year.

Hence the 12k 1 year warranty on replacements.

Add to that that I had to do the consumption test 2x due to dealer incompetence and the fact that corporate ignored my requests for help and did not return calls and you will see why I dislike them.

I'd love them if they stood behind their products or had fixed the issue on replacement engines.

Should a car with 72k be getting it's third engine?

Should an engine be using 2-3 quarts per 1k miles at 18k?

I think not.

He photoshopped it to 84 day battery. It was a good joke.
