Dealer goodies
I don't understand why dealers only want to make as much possible from one car and forget about customer satisfaction and future sales. Word of mouth and referrals by a happy customer probably is the best form of advertisement that there is aside from a good price. I know I would never go back or recommend certain dealers in my city to people I know from my bad experience with them. At the same time as customers, we have to be courteous. Honesty, integrity and friendliness are what I value from my dealer...but unfortunately not all dealers possess these qualities.
My inventory manager called today to tell me that he had the VIN and that the car was due by the end of the month. It's the first sponatneous call I've ever gotten from the dealer, and only the second one period. Too bad he didn't know that I've already got the VIN, and that the car should be here in about a week...

I got plenty of stuff from Courtesy. I posted this before but I noticed more later. I got the Z fossil watch, Lust book, Z key chain and the Z hat. Later after I had time to look more there were wheel locks on the car and a truck mat. All I ordered extra was floor mats and kick plates. If you are from Courtesy I got your survey call and NNA's survey call....... I gave all excellent ratings... thanks guys

I'll be sure to share your views with everyone here at the dealership.
BTW, we generally include free wheel locks for vehicles with alloy wheels.

We actually have quite a few in stock already--mostly front end pieces like bumpers and lamps, etc.
If you want to send a copy of your estimate to me with the
list of parts needed, I'll be happy to check availability. The body shop should already have your parts on order, though.

From what the claims guy said the dealership my car is at they did not even have the car in there computer. I think they are supposed to get some kind disc with all the info on it. All I know right now is that I will need a front bumper, front right quarter panel, front tire, front wheel, washer fluid assembly and all the connecting arms for the front right suspension.

Most Nissan dealers should have access to an electronic parts catalog by now (for the 350Z). Anyway, I researched the pieces you mentioned, but Nissan's computer is down for maintenance right now. I should know something Monday.

When this thread first started, I was a little perturbed that I had gotten nothing from my dealer, they even made me buy my own coke while I waited! (Well I did get the car for MSRP and a month earlier than expected, and they detailed it for me). Then I got my copy of "Lust, then Love" in the mail Friday... and all is forgiven... well I still want my $0.65 back for the coke...

Greetings all,
Terribly sorry to hear that some of you new 350Z owners didn't get the chance to experience the "touch of Courtesy." Art Singer, Sport Z associate publisher and I were treated like royalty or even the incarnate of Elvis himself. It was just amazing.
The thank you gifts are wonderful, but they pale in comparison to the warmth of an outstanding staff. I've purchased a lot of terrific cars over the years, but no other buying experience even comes close to my day at Courtesy Nissan in Richardson, Texas.
Besides, buying from Courtesy provided me with the opportunity to do my break-in drive of 1,100 miles home to Colorado via Albuquerque where I dropped off Art.
Everyone who ordered a new Z deserves the Courtesy treatment. It's a shame that some dealers just don't get it.

I orderd on 3/1 and have nothing. My dealer has no clue. I still think my dealer is gonna sell the ***** out from under me. I will take delivery(hopefully) and then try and find somewhere to have it serviced. I hate dealers! I just wish I could get warranty service from an independent shop so I never have to deal with nissan again.
Most of these dealers should be ashamed of themselves.
At MSRP, they make $4,000 per car!! It would take 3-5 Altimas to equal that. I guess they just think they have the car so take it or leave it!
Well, looking around Atlanta I see plenty of ex-dealership building rotting away, and soon some of these Nissan dealers will join them.
Hopefully sooner rather than later!!
