Coat hanger?? no way! that`s where I hang my hat...then I don`t have to go looking for it..

IMO....whoever decided to locate the glove compartment behind the passenger seat should have his or hers designer license suspended for good.

Funny...the dipstick never bothered me a bit, the only time i had trouble reinserting the damn thing was the first day i bought the car.

The limited trunk space is understandable, cuz the Z was never meant to be your primary vehicle anyway....we need a truck for hauling stuff.

Well...the passenger side cupholder is too close to the cd changer.(electronics and liquid don't mix)

The visor airbag warning label should be No Smoking label instead.

The Z's steering wheel looks old fashion.....how about a MOMO look alike.

If you have an '06, you don't have it.

What is that thing there for then? Right where the glove box is supposed to be there is a tiny slide-out compartment.. For loose change or something?

I guess. I tried putting some change in there for toll money, but it kept sliding back where it was too hard to get out. I'm sure I'll figure out some other use for it eventually. LOL

believe it or not the inside trunk release was introduced because some dumb car owner (i think it was honda) accidentally locked herself inside the trunk. she ended up suing and from then on car companies decided to put this function to avoid further 'tragedies'.

Couple weeks ago, some lady was kidnapped from bar into a car trunk. Luckily with her cell phone in her pocket and the trunk release, so was able to get out.

As for the Z, the most pointless feature is the windows roll down after opening the door. Now, I just roll down a mm down, so it doesn't roll back up.

The window motors. Mine don't actually DO anything.

The dipstick at least serves a purpose, even though it is more complicated than BMW's iDrive system.

Definately the center compartment lid that "slides" up into the dash in my '03. I would love to just superglue it closed and ignore it but every time I have a passenger they feel the need to hit the button. Also, my passenger cup holder which broke the very first day I had the car and has been shoved back and jammed solidly into place. If anybody reaches for that, I just lose it.

Default Holy Crap this is an old post!

Anyway - most useless part of the Z? How about the divider in the cubby - the one in the console. Is that really necessary? LOL

So that brings up a question ... what part of the Z do you think is the most pointless? I vote for that cause I have never used it once. Other pointless items include:

1) The flimsey passenger side cup holder
2) Any buttons on the steering wheel cause i never touch them
3) The inside trunk release
4) The rear wiper

If you can think of anymore let me know!
ive used the driver side key hole several times...you know you an roll ur windows up/down with the keyhole right? the remote only enables the windows to go down but not bak up. thats when the keyhole comes in handy...you dont need to get back onto the car and turn the key so you can manually put the windows up. i also use the radio control buttons and cruise on the steering wheel..um rear wiper occationally..cup holder i use pretty much never and trunk release never touched. lol
