Terrible Firestone Experience....
Dropped the car off at Firestone to get it serviced today, and ran into a few inexperienced mechanics. As the mechanic came out to drive my car to the back of the shop, he locked my car about 5 times. I guess he wanted to hear the horn honk? Anyways, after he gets into the car, he sits in it for a good minute before it moves. I'm thinking, whats he trying to steal? Then worst case scenario happens. He thinks he put it in reverse, but really its in 6th gear. Lets the E-brake out and drives forward over a curb. Scratched my newly resprayed front bumper. I guess he got nervous and decided the problem would only get better if he dropped the clutch and stalled the car...... So he did. He then pulls the E-brake up, finds reverse, and proceeds to back the car out. I was already pissed as hell and started walking over to my car. I guess he saw me and didn't want me to confront him, so he sped off to the back of the shop. The only problem was that the E-brake was STILL UP. You could hear the car almost stall out as he was pulling away and he burned the clutch in the process. I am surprised that ASE certified mechanics can't even drive a stick shift.

EXACT OPPOSITE. I asked for the manager immediately, told him what happened, and he told me he would "talk" to the technician. Just to show how idiotic the technician was, he told the manager that he was instructed to leave all cars in first gear when they are parked so they do not "roll away". I told the manager he misunderstood me and told him again that he jumped the curb, stalled the car, the drove away with the E-brake up. The manager repeats the same thing he said earlier " Our technicians are instructed to leave all cars in first gear when parking them". I then told him, for the third time, that this all happened as he was porting the car to the back of the shop. He looked at me with a very confused look on his face. I then told him that his technicians should learn how to drive a stick shift. After saying this, the manager was pretty pissed off. He obviously stands behind his employees and was too arrogant to even consider a complaint from a customer. After all, his tech's are perfect right? At the end of the argument, he basically implied that if he didn't see it, it didn't happen. This is far from over though.

What the hell does "leaving it in first gear so it doesn't roll away" have to do with it??? If that were the case, then he looks even stupider for not knowing that it was going to move forward because it's in first gear!! Still don't understand how the service manager used that as any sort of excuse. Don't let them get away with it - call corporate and don't stop calling untill they do something! Good luck and keep us posted.

^ And his second mistake was assuming an employee there would "know" where reverse is....
If you can't work on your own vehicle, take it to someone NOT knowledgeable on 350z specifics, oh and don't inform him on things like how to get the vehicle into reverse. Good idea.
