Don't listen to the ones that say you need to heat up your tires, this is not Nascar and tires only heat up from putting a load on them from turns, going straight doesn't cause enough heat otherwise tires would blow on long drives.
I am not an expert by any means but I think the tidbits I learned are useful.
Hope you get your car back soon and in the shape you are happy with, I was only rear ended and it was painful.

i turn it off b/c i want to. i'm sure i'm the only one in the universe that does this. aqnd i'm sure youve never made mistakes.

What other reason, besides street racing, would you turn it off for? You can't push the car to it's limits through twisties on public roads (like you can on tracks)....so why even disable VDC

Look at the positive side. You could take the insurance money for the two track wheels and that should be enough for a full set of volks or other wheels. It doesnt get that cold in austin.

tony: yeah! s.point nissan just called me to make sure i was ok (the car was dropped off at their service center) and he told me that one wheel is $1400. they have to replace 2. (a third got scuffed.) he told me that they'd probably end up machining the scuffed one.
oh, and do you drive on 2222 alot? there aren't many db's in austin that i know of but i always see one on 2222 when i'm driving to and from school. just wondering if that was you

. Lets see it took them 2 months to fix his truck and it cost him several thousand $$ for the rental car plus $500 deductable for the insurance. Plus his insurance costs went up big time. These lessons are alway expensive. Just glad that she was not hurt. I would suggest a fun driving course like they have at Road Atlanta, a lot of fun and you she will learn a lot about driving.

DAMN!!! 1400 dollars for one wheel?? That alone is reason enough to go with the track version over any others. That does suck though, hope everything works out! At least there was no body damage!
