I have a 350Z and think the 370 is probably better in every way. Looks are subjective of course.

what is with all the Z owners loving Vettes? if you want a rattle bucket pick up a vette.
break it down like this. 1st see what you can afford. if you can afford and maintain a new 370 then i'd go with that although I personally dislike its looks, it is not up to me. If you cannot afford the costs of owning a new 370 then surly i would find a 350z. it really is not that hard to search around and find the perfect one for you. what it comes down to is patients. people start to want and rush into dumb moves and end up getting headaches do to that. so bottom line is start with your cash flow and work from there.

in 04 i picked up an 03 at an auction for 20 with only 7k on it MINT condition. When at the time it was still over the 30k mark and more. so be patient, look around and find what is a best all around fun worry free car. Weather it is a Z or not.

OMG that's exactly how I feel. 370Z is nice, except for the lights. When I was shopping for my Z, the 370Z was just at the car show and I can say it was NOT love at first sight. It took some time to grow on me, and the light still have not grown on me.

Hence I quickly started looking for new 350Zs that were still available at the time.

Rattlebucket? Seriously? Have you even been in a newer one? Build quality on a vette is not the same as an Aveo. My Z rattles more than every c5+ vette I've been in.

And as to why Z owners like vettes, it's b/c a vette is a better performance car in every category...if you're not all about performance, that's cool. But I laugh at anybody who doesn't at least respect a vette, because at the end of the day it's quite simply the best performance bargain for the price on the planet....

Actually, I'm REALLY surprised you guys were so nice for SO long.
It was obviously a troll thread from the very first post. The whole "Hi i'm in college and want a fast car. Which one is faster 350Z or 370Z? budget doesn't matter, halp" thing kinda threw it off.

What kinda friggin' normal college kid has has infinite budget. And if one does exist, why does he need to ask us? JUST GET BOTH OF THEM.

I have many customers with vettes, and only 1 out of them all actually drives his vette as a daily and even beats the hell out of it. His is a rattle bucket. His C5 was, and his newer one is just as bad these days w/ only 40k on it now. I have driven them all and YES the baby sitting ones are still ok, but keep driving it and see what happens. Not much has changed. Maybe a tad better quality, but still the same results. Personally, yes the vette is a pretty fast and good performing wise vehicle. I wont disagree with that, but then again although the Z may not be as fast i believe it can out handle a vette from my experiences with the road testing S turns i use to test em out.

I think if you want performance/money, the GT-R would win hands down.

He figured he was wasting time with idiots like us and went out and got both of them and a Z06 Vette just to compare. Then he scrapped the other two cars he didn't like and kept the third one.

Because rsx owners are genetically predisposed to believe that their car with i/h/e can take out anything on the road. As a Z owner, I noticed this the most, because rsx owners have it out for us. Some saying, that their rsx is better than the Z. I hate to generalize, but I have been on enough forums and "youtube" vids, where all you hear is "kpro dude,.. k pro.. kpro kpro kpro !"

It's like a broken record really. It's sad, because the rsx is a great car for what it is, but their owners can't seem to understand their boundaries. I personally would never claim that my Z is better than a GTR etc etc.

That being said, rsx owners have become the butt of many ricer jokes on here.

Weird. I noticed right away the z was better. More power better handling rear wheel drive. My rsx was even nodded to death minus forced induction. I had progress coilovers and sway bars but still thought it could've handled better. I will miss the vtec sound especially with the greddy exhuast.

I guess my experience is a little different. I never catch sh.t from RSX's. I had a self-tuned bolt-on one, and to be brutally honest, I was a bit disappointed when I got the Z, b/c it didn't feel that much faster in a straight line. Corners.......that's another story. The rsx is plagued with terrible rear suspension geometry -- it even has variable toe upon compression! The rear floats/hops very easily and is not confidence inspiring to say the least...

Anyways, just wanted to comment that as a former rsx owner...

I was shopping for a sporty car and ended up getting the 350z but what i really wanted was an elise. With gas prices the way they are the elise is an awesome option if you have another vehicle. Unfortunately in canada they are still >$40k and cant be imported from u.s. 38 mpg highway on a 13sec canyon carver which looks likw an exotic. God i wish i had the patience.

I would pick up a vette if it was as much as my hr 350z. Plus cost of insurance.
