Default 350Z or 370Z

Hey you guys, I'm new to this forum so I'm not too sure on what to expect.
Wanted to say Hi to my new family lol. I'm currently in college right now and I'm trying to decide on my next car. It's definitely going to be a Z of some sort.. but I'm just not too sure what it is. Would you say to 350Z or 370Z is better? For 350Z I'm debating on the 2008-2009 Model or the 370Z. I also have to consider the Nismo edition because I'm hearing biased reviews. Please let me know what you think!

*P.S. Sorry if this was already posted, Search ain't working out so well. Also wanted to consider the current opinions since 370Z has been out for a while.

I drove several of both before I bought my '08 Touring Coupe. I've driven several 370s since then, and I'm still glad I bought the 350. The only thing I like better about the 370 is the 7-speed AT.

Welcome to the forum. I see you're in Cerritos- I work there.

Is money a factor for your purchase or it isn't between he two cars? If not, I suggest going with the 370 as it is a culmination of lessons learned by Nissan from the 350Z supposedly making it a superior car.

I believe it is lighter and of course has more HP and torque. Additionally, one thing I find irritating is that Nissan added stronger engine internals which means turbocharging or supercharging the 370 is safer.

I own a 2004 350Z which is turbocharged and I can beat many cars but I am always scared a rod may bend or snap. Apparently, it is much less of a concern for 370 drivers.

None-the-less, from what I have seen, a 350Z will still beat a 370 on a road course or drag race so at least my generation Z can still represent.

The only department where I think the 350Z clearly wins is in the looks department. They made the 370 look more innate compared to the 350 which looks like a sports car. The back of the 370 looks stupid.

Anyways, hope this helps.

350z Nismo only tops a base 370z imo lol. If money is not a problem, 370z over and other 350z (not including 350z nismo)

Thanks! Lol, I'm wondering if I accidentally happened to see you on the road especially since 350Z are uncommon in this area. Budget isn't really a problem, except that I rather spend less if possible. I really rather get a 350z but the only problem is that if it's used I'm worried what might have happened to it. Thats why I'm considering the 370Z. And 350Z defintely looks better than the 370z. This was one of the biggest factor in choosing which car

I don't drive my Z everyday as I have another car but I work very close to Alondra and Shoemaker.

Based on some of your criteria, you're all over the place. You need to do some hard thinking and really look at what you want. Maybe a good place to start is by getting some pricing done on a 370Z to see if you can comfortably make the payments and still have money to spare.

350Z vs 370Z. Isn’t it about time we had this discussion.

If looks and more of an ability to make it your own appearance wise... Z33. If you want better engine performance... Z34. From what I've seen the Z34 doesn't have very many bodykits out or anything to change up that busy look. I wouldn't get a Z34 just because it's a strain on the eyes with all the lines and angles.

Like everyone has stated, you need to give us a budget that you legitimately feel comfortable with.

What do you plan on doing with the car? Tracking?

Really need to define your goals, but both are good choices just completely different pricing wise.

Both are very similar cars with similar looks and performance. Budget and personal style really would come to the deciding factors.

Start with a budget first, then decide if your future Z is going to be a DD or weekend/track car.

Hard choice to make really, i personally went with the 2008 350z because i hate it when nissan changes something small in all of there cars. The 370z hasn't changed since it came out it 2009, meaning it is time for something to change. Also i had a chance to test drive both before i made my decision, and i can say that if i had to make the same choice again i would still pick the 350z. It is all personal opinion, but either way both are great cars.

370z , you see what those guys are putting down with breathing mods. Not to mention better handling , lighter more refined. Its superior in ever way. And i drive a 2003 350z i would love to trade up for a 370z. Plus you'll have warranty and be putting down the same or a lil more power then a 350z with every breathing mod.

Save cash, get an '08 and mod with cash left over. Then you don't have to deal with those ridiculous looking head and tail lights. I see people in their 370 and it looks like they're embarassed to even drive that hideous thing in public.

I'm not one sided if you can tell.

Sorry I should've put a price estimate. I have around $30,000 for a car.
I want this car to be more of a daily car because this is the only car I'm going to have. I also want to do the occasional street racing since my friends all street race.
