The link didn't workd so I couldn't look into Finlk123's avatar, but judging from his username, Finkl is the pop star group in Korea. And since you are saying she is hot, probably she is Hyolee Lee. Yeah..she is hot. The group was disbanded and she is now a solo singer..
You are talking about this girl right?

Secondly, until you get into the new GT3 territory or above (GT2, TT, etc..over 100k), the Porsche won't beat an M3. Not the N/A 996 C2 or C4. If all out performance (and nothing else) is what you want, go with a Z06 and save a bundle. Very few cars on the planet can touch it in all around performance and you can get '03's for less than 40k.

There's also plenty of Best Motoring vids show that 996 easily kick E46 M3's *** on track.

I have no clue what causes such intense areguments that are so completely point less. We all buy cars for our reasons, price, taste, preferences..... Why in the hell are we wasting server bandwith, storage, and cpu cycles on meaningless arguments that will not get resolved.. (they could if people would stop making personal atacks and talk about the facts)

Seanrluz, yea man thats her!!!!!!!! she is damn hott. i sure dont mind giving her some thug lovin'...hehe.
well back to the M3 and Z, i dont get how a Z is compared to an M3. its like comparing a S2000 to an NSX. you can't compare the two. if you guys want to compare in a more closer comparision than i'd say compare a 330ci to a 350z.

Topdaytrader - You must be talking about the E36 M3 like the kind you used to own. I'm not.
I raced a '03 996 and beat it by a couple car lengths from a roll. We did it twice, with the same results both times. I'm not the only one either.
Guys on the M3 forums that track their cars report that the only Porsches they lose to are the GT3's, GT2 and Turbos....due to the large HP advantange. The standard 996 just can't do it.
Magazines seem to have the same results as well.
E46 M3
1/4 mile - 13.3
Slalom - 68.3 MPH
80-0 - 197'
60-0 - 112'
Porsche 911 Carrera
1/4 mile - 13.4
Slalom - 67.6
80-0 - 204'
60-0 - 117'
The M3 has faster acceleration (and 13.3 for an M3 is slow), faster slalom/handling, and better braking. You were saying?
Please learn to do some actual research on cars before you spout off again. It might save you from any further embarrassment.![Big Grin](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I'd say then the M3-guys you are referring to have not met any 911 drivers who car drive (or are willing to drive hard). It is well proven (by pro drivers) that a 911 C2 and e46 M3 are very well matched cars. There is not much betweern them at all.
Here are some references (where the same pro driver drivers both cars one the same day):
Winton (Motor magazine):
- 911 C2 = 1:42.01
- e46 M3 = 1:41.56
- 911 Turbo = 1:37.07
- 911 GT2 = 1:36.35
Hokenheim KK (Sports Auto magazine):
- 911 C2 = 1:17.1
- e46 M3 = 1:16.3
- 991 C4 = 1:15.9
- 911 Turbo = 1:14.6
- 911 GT3 = 1:13.2
- 911 GT2 = 1:12.6
Nurburgring (Sports Auto magazine):
- 991 C4 = 8:23
- e46 M3 = 8:22
- 911 C2 = 8:17
- 911 Turbo = 7:56
- 911 GT3 = 7:54
- 911 GT2 = 7:46
Willow Bank (Road &Track magazine):
- e46 M3 = 1:40.09
- 911 C2 Targa = 1:40.79
Acceleration is prettyt close as well, but I usually see the 911 with the edge here. Here are the times from Sports Auto magazine:
0-100kph (ie. 62.5mph):
- e46 M3 = 5.2
- 911 C2 = 4.8
0-160kph (ie. 100mph):
- e46 M3 = 11.4
- 911 C2 = 10.9
ps. EVO magazine has the tasted these together as well and the 911 had the edge again, but I do not have the data here.

Of course I know it weighs more. I'm also aware that the M3 is faster. Sorry I had to emabarrass you, but you asked for it.
As far as me being a "magazine racer", what should I call you? A "video racer"? LOL. You're using other driver's results to base your opinions on, just like I did. Also, since the M3 is faster and hanldes beter, all that video shows is a better driver the Porsche that particular rainy day. Period.
So, not only are you a poseur that called out and busted on AcuraCL.com for claiming you own cars you don't, you're also a idiot that uses a single video to back up his point.. So, who's the ricer now? That's what I thought. Have a nice day, ricer-boy.

What you aware doesn't mean $hit. Show us some proof that M3 is faster than 996 or STFU.
Btw, the video shows 99' 996 (296hp) easily beat 01' M3 (333hp). So there's no M3 can beat 02+ 996 (315hp).

Actually........I don't give a rat's ***** what mags say, stats, etc. I've seen waaaay too many discrepencies by magazine editors/drivers.
And allot of them are Fat ***** anyway. I've lost to and beaten E46 M3's (from a start and on the highway). It's a complete DRIVERS RACE whether you wish to acknowledge it or not. Maybe you haven't come across a 350Z owner who can drive...
At any rate...."It's all good!" They are both GREAT cars and serve their functions well to their drivers.

Nice, informative post. From you've posted, every single track time has the M3 faster than the Porsche, but the straight line times has the Porsche faster. Also, IIRC the EVO article had the M3 as faster.
Looking at the M3's times below, I believe it was probably an SMG car that ran those slower times. SMG is faster than a 6-speed from a roll, but the 6-speed is faster from a stop. Also, those are the by far the *fastest* C2 times I've ever seen. It was great C2, with a great driver, on a great day.
Every article I've seen with the 6-speed M3 versus a 6-speed C2 has the running M3 faster, but yes, the are very close.
Car and Driver ran a M3 0-60 at 4.5 and the 1/4 mile in 13.1. A poster on M3 Forums has ran his stock M3 in the 1/4 mile at 12.72 @ 107 mph. He has time slips and two videos to prove it.
The cars are close enough that they will be driver and condition dependant, but the M3 still seems to win much more often than Porsche does.
This is just the opposite of what that moron ricer-boy said about the Porsche beating the M3 around a track or in a straight line every time. That's what he gets for not learning more about cars before he speaks I guess.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

Show you proof? I already did you stupid ****. So did the poster that posted *4* different races between the two cars with the M3 coming out on top at *4* different tracks. Are you seriously this stupid?? The only thing worse than a liar is a stupid liar. And a ricer to boot. Your mom must be so proud.
