VZ Operator Grip
Ed Brown Drop in SS comp barrel
Wilson Tactical Anti Shock spring system
Wilson Tactical SS 10rd extended Mags
It was pretty expensive but shoots sooooo nice now, no malfunctions, minimal recoil, and looks crazy nice.

Wow...this thread to a wild turn from the original post. I hope no one has questions as to where to store their pistol in their Z!

I picked up a Springfield 1911 A1 in fair condition from a buddy of mine for $400.00 and I figured I'd mod it a little:

I tried sticking my G30 into the bottom part of my HU in the storange bin since I have a single DIN and it's way too obvious looking. I want a secret compartment that opens when I use the radio controls on the steering wheel

OK,, First off, you better be darn sure of the laws where you live. A for instance is New York. If you do not have a proper pistol permit and the right paperwork, you get caught with a handgun in your car even if it is not loaded, you could be in a heap of trouble. Now, if you live in Florida, you can keep the gun in your car, but unless you have a conceal carry license, you had better not take it out of the car and stick it in your pocket. Even as relaxed as Florida's gun laws are, their penalties for breaking them are among the most severe in the country. Threaten another motorist with your gun (Read: just show it in your window, not even pointing it!) and you WILL spend time in jail. Ok, nuff said on this. Be smart or you spend time in jail. Simple.
Now for what I carry in my car. Just about anything from my usual Walther PPK to a Mosin Nagant. Depends on where I'm going and what I plan to do. For daily carry, I use the Walther PPK and it is in the glove box behind the driver's seat, next to the left rear speaker. The door pockets are pathetically small as is the center console glove box. But that rear one fits the Walther perfectly, even in it's pocket holster. Can also keep a few extra mags in there. I use the Walther because it's small enough to carry without showing in jeans and a Tshirt. It ain't the most powerful, but I certainly would not want to be on the wrong end of that little gun. And any gun is better then no gun when you are in a situation.

Way to kill the thread, man. Not everyone lives in NY. Get over yourself.

Hahaha I thought this thread would get locked after I found the prior thread from searching, but it definitely took a turn for the humorous side of things! And if anyone is/was wondering, like two posts up, I'm constantly reading up on my state's gun laws, and I'm happy with the way things are headed here in sunny Florida.

I know the perfect picture for you.
From your statement, that would mean that citizens having guns would make the country safe from criminals. Therefore, America should be the safest country in the world, right? Far from it. Little did you know is that when you start allowing any dumbass to carry a gun around, one of them is going to go and shoot up a campus or rob a store.
And trust me, we really don't have many criminals around here. Even in Jane and Finch.

Also last time I remember living in Canada, you couldn't wear red, blue, or white in school because of gang problems, so don't try to preach that Canada is awesome and has no criminal problems....

I love people who talk about gun laws as if they have ever lived on the other side of the fence.
If you grew up in a culture that allows you to own, discharge and carry guns for personal protection you will have one of two opinions on the matter.
If you grew up in a culture that does not allow you to own, discharge or carry guns for any reason (other than collection sometimes) you will only have one opinion on the matter (majority).
Thankfully I lived in both types of cultures and I would absolutely prefer to have the ability to own and carry a gun for whatever reason I choose, especially protection.

I'm always up for gun debates! Can't really argue with some people's opinions, though. If they don't like them or refuse to ever want to own, carry, or use a firearm, I hope they change their mind, but that may never happen. Personally I'll stick to my 2nd Amendment.

Also, There's a loophole in Washington State law that says if you claim your weapon is being transported in the car to go to/from a gun range or a park to go hunting, hiking, fishing, etc., then they cannot prosecute. (RCW 9.41.060(6), RCW 9.41.060(8))
You can also carry your gun in the car in an enclosed case or secure wrapper (RCW 42.91.060(9))
Anyway, in WA, it's so easy to get a CPL, that there's really no reason not to.

^ same with AZ before you were allowed to conceal without a permit (that started last year).
All it took to get a CCW was an 80 dollar class and another fee for the permit and renew every two years.

I just saw this thread and I knew there would a US vs Canadian debate some where in the thread pages lol.
I don't agree to the right to guns. But that's a personal opinion. I don't hold it against americans who wish otherwise. But simply put, i have never been in a situation where I need a gun, and I am 30 years old. And if that day ever came so be it. If I lived in the states, I would buy one, not for protection, but as a hobby.
