Default 350Z sitting in snow question

Well, as many of you may know, the east got alot of snow this weekend. In my area we got about 13-15 inches. My Z in sitting in all that snow I was wondering if anything can rust because of this? Should i dig it out? I am not planning on driving it for a little while, what do you guys think i should do.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just brush the excess snow off and you'll be fine. The worst thing you can do to a car is drive it on salt covered roads...other than that, you're alright if it sits in the snow for a few days.

yeah I agree, brush excess snow off the car, wouldnt go anywhere near the paint, as that could scratch it depending what your brushing with.

but it also cant be too great to let a what might be a few hundred pounds of snow sit on the car for long term. so just keep it to a minimum.

The snow if off of the car and i am not driving it on the salt covered roads, i was just wondering if the snow touching the underside of the car will create and rust.

The car sitting in snow (without salt) is the same as the car sitting in the rain for a few days. It shouldn't cause rust just by having snow on it.

The one thing I am worried about was the rotors and calipers getting rusted. Or worse rusting so they don't move. Also flat spots in the tires. I tried adding a few extra pounds before the snow came. Hopefully that will help.

Get a polar fleece jacket and gloves (no zippers or snaps on the outside please...put it on backwards if you have to) and make sweet sweet love to the Z. Well, not really but rub your arms all voer the car and you'll slide all the snow off without scratchign paint. The jacket will be full of snow and just make sure you don't do it too slowly or it'll melt and form ice on the jacket...but that should work for you.

No, nothing will happen from it sitting in snow or rain for a long time. The surface rust which often occurs on the underside of the car is kind of difficult to avoid, but it's pretty standard. When I had my Trans Am up on a lift 8 months after getting it I asked a guy about that and he said...noooo problem. Unless you keep your car bone dry all the time a bit will happen, but none should occur on the car body itself. Hell my motorcycle sat for a long *** time, totally uncovered and it's perfect. Worried about flat spots in the tires? If it sits for over 6 months you might get some, but a quick solution is to simply roll the car back a few inches or forward and there will be no problems. In any case if you're not planning on driving ANY vehicle for some extended period of time, I would try to AT LEAST start it for a bit...but ideally drive it around every 3-4 weeks. Should it be ok if you don't do that? Yea, I guess. Would it just be a better thing to do? Prolly.
