Edmunds.com says 350Z has a 20 Gallon Tank?
I put my first gas tank in today, and it took 16 gallons to fill. Forgive my ignorance on this, but how big is our gass tank?

I think I get the worst gas mileage of anyone on this forum... ~ 210 miles / 16 gallon fillup = 13 miles/gallon :-(
I do all city driving and don't accellerate hard at all.

also, it's 20 gallons. when the light comes on...you still have about 3 gallons in the reserve. you can drive at least 60 miles after the light comes on.
i've never been at the point to fill up 20 gallons...but, i've filled up 18 or 19 (only once). i typically fill it up when the light is about to come on.

It is a 20 gallon tank, I believe 3 gallons of the 20 is a reserve.

I ran it down to 13DTE. it was pegged at empty, and light had been on for about 50 miles.
I put like 16.8gallons in. it takes some getting used to but the reserve IMO is a bit large, its about 3gallons from the time where it says 0miles till empty.
but you shouldnt run it dry anyway, so refilling with 3-5gallons left isnt the worst thing in the world.

Either you're accellerating 0-60 in about a minute and a half or your friends are secretly putting gas into your tank at night. Try flooring it once in a while and seeing what this car can really do!
But seriously, you have an AT?
I get 17-20 mpg in the city and 23 or 24 highway only in my 6MT. (It drops to 8-9 on the track!)

Well I filled up for the first time a little while ago and I got about 600km's/373M on the tank. That's not so good for such a big tank.
Mind you, I was driving it a little 'spiritedly' but never over 4000 rpm because I'm breaking her in..
Did you know if you type stuff into Google it will do conversions for you?
I typed in "600km to miles" and it gave me the conversion! Very cool!

how much did you fill up? I really doubt you filled it to 20gallons from empty. probably more like 15gallons if you filled up around 1/8th tank. which is almost 25mpg. even at 20gallons your at 17MPG which isnt bad for breaking. gas mileage improves dramaticly in the first 1000miles or so.

I Just ran out to the car to check.
There's 576km/358M on the odometer and the gas receipt says I put 65.7l/17.35gallons
20.6mpg - Not too bad. The reserve really is HUGE on these cars... The dte was saying like 20km's when I filled up.

The reserve is about 5 gallons. That's when the light comes on. But if you run it until you're getting "----" for DTE while cruising, you've got about 3 gallons left.
