Well I decided to drive to destin Florida Friday (8hr drive). And on my way back Sunday I skid in the rain and hit a guard rail. The wrecker said looks like the frame is pushed over 1.5ft but they aren't sure. My mother had liability on the car so I have to pay put of pocket. So what do you guys thi k I should do the car has 140k miles and has alot of bolt ons and etc. The blue book is 7,500-9800 private property. And I only paid 7,500 for it with 100,000k. What should do?
If you get a little creative and part out the car, you could probably recoup a lot of your money since you only have 7500 into it. The HKS true dual alone can easily net you 600-900 if there isn't any damage. Good luck with whatever you decide man!

You buy comprehensive insurance when you can't afford to replace your car. If you can afford a $7500 hit, then you don't need comprehensive (unless you make a habit of doing something stupid like running into a guard rail). In this case, it sounds like you not only couldn't afford to replace the car, you couldn't even afford to buy your own insurance.
Sell the car for parts/salvage, then buy yourself a really cheap, old, domestic car to drive until you can afford both the car and the insurance yourself.
