How long did you wait?
I'm trying to get an idea of how long I'll have to wait after I place my Z order. I think i've seen some people say 3 months, but I wanted to get a more accurate count.
Also, does anyone have experience ordering through Nissan CarMax in MD? Any advice or pointers would be welcome.
Thanks

If it's on a boat or at the port and he can get it redirected to his dealership, then you can get it in a month or so.
If it actually have to be built, put on a boat, transferred to a train then trucked to the dealership, then you're looking at 3 months.
They tell you the worst possible scenerio (3 months) so you won't start calling a week after placing your order wanting to know if it's there yet.
Another thing to consider is this, they only place the actual order at the beginning of the month. If you go order it today, it won't actually be submitted to Nissan in Japan until Jan 1st. (assuming they can't find it elsewhere first).
My friend just ordered one (In NY) and she is waiting 120 days + shipping. I ordered mine in september, and I'm expecting it sometime after the holidays. Nissan put a freeze on shipments to the northeast for the winter. Plenty of Maximas and such, but no additional Z's. Once it warms up after winter, you'll be back to the original 90 days + shipping.
You guys have it easy. Those of us who pre-ordered the '03's waited upwards of 9 months. My wait was 9 month's with little info in the interim. Many of us didn't get to sit in a 350Z, test drive, or know the cost until we picked them up.
While the wait was interminable it was worth it. I truly love my baby despite some of the flaws. The questions and positive comments keep coming.

I've checked most area codes around the Balt/Wash area, and also Dallas, as I have a cousin there. Trophy Nissan has a ton of cars, but the Silverstone Performance combo seems impossible to find.
In fact, the Performance in general is a hard car to find. Oh well, I'm going to head to a couple dealers tomorrow and see what they say. Carmax pretty much told me they have a hard time trading with dealers, but could order me up my choice of a Z.
I'd just have to wait 3-6months.

Well, I gave up my search for a SS Perf., and ordered a SS Enthusiast today. Hopefully, they can locate one of them, or have it to me faster than the Perf.
I'm almost caved in and went for a Black Perf., but in the end, held out for the color I really wanted.
I guess now is the toughest part, actually waiting for it. I wish I was a bear and could go hibernate for 3 months.
