My question is will my car sell for more or the same with or wothout the rims on it? I have volk gts that i was thinking bout taking off before selling the car .

 

Definitely take them off and sell them. Or you'll lose at least 2 grand.... I just did this.

 

Mods have no value to anybody but you

 

Yep, sell all of your mods off the car. Just make sure you do a PROPER job of returning the car to stock.

idk, I've seen modded cars fetch more than a comparable stock car would have. You definitely lose a lot by selling the parts w/ the car, but I wouldn't say they have NO value.

 

20% of a mods value is what you can usually expect to get... private party. Trade-in... it's more like -20%.

 

You'll only net more from the parts being on the car if you find someone with the same taste as you.

More likely, if you get any additional money at all, it won't be nearly as much as if you had pulled them off and sold the parts in the classifieds.

I would put the stock wheels and as many stock parts as possible back on the car. Then I'd sell the mods on craigslist or in the classifieds here.
