My buddy is a car enthusiast who's always buying/selling cars and customizing them etc. After purchasing the car for $32k he spent just under $2k making the necessary repairs (damage was strictly cosmetic, didn't affect any important component on the car but there was very slight damage to the unibody which automatically gave it a rebuilt title which is of course dumb but that's how state requirements work), after the repairs were made he spent just over $14,000 in extras decking it out to roughly what it is today. All in all he put about $50,000 into the car.

A/T, factory radio and (presumably) speakers. No mention of any turbo in the description. Exhaust looks stock judging from the tips alone.
Honestly, it looks like a Z that has a body kit, a bigass ricey spoiler and probably 10lbs of vinyl on it.
$22,000 for an '06 with 13k on it isn't a bad deal at all though, assuming it's mechanically sound.
I don't know, maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm not so impressed

He bought the car for 39k!!! Why would you buy a salvage Z with a bodykit, spoiler with chrome cutouts, and no name wheels for that price?
The seller states the car was worth 50k.... No way in heck!
"I'd say selling it for $22k is beyond reasonable considering that's me losing around $17k over the course of 8k miles and the car overall going from $50k to $22k over the course of 13,900 miles which is a pretty brutal depreciation rate for this car."

Seems like so many "car enthusiasts" have no understanding of how value works when it comes to cars.
I bought a $20k car and spent $5k painting it to look like feces and now it's worth $25k. Yay!

This car was posted up a while back. I guess it never sold...
Minus the decals, it's not all that bad.

Overall the car is in excellent condition, clearly when you own a car like this you're a "car person" and take good care of your vehicles. I've changed the oil about every 2500 miles only using synthetic. I of course always pay attention to all necessary fluids etc, as far as other maintenance the car has never had any issues and has never needed any repairs so haven't really done any of that (13k miles she's practically still new). There's no reason to be scared of the rebuilt title at all. I've had it for a couple years without any problems, I've taken it across the country without issue, the damage that was done currently has no affect on the performance of the vehicle.
Issues with the car: It is a 2006 so it's not 100% immaculate. About 8 months ago after turning the car on the anti-lock brake pump made a quiet noise and then a couple gauge lights came on (abs, traction control, slip). I thought the unit malfunctioned at first however it seems to be working as it should, somewhere there's some little electrical shortage which is triggering the gauge lights to kick on. If you don't know what it does, basically it makes it so if you slam on your brakes, your wheels won't lockup and you'll feel a small pumping action coming from the brake pedal which is your car preventing your wheels from locking allowing you to stop optimally. This is still working as it should so the pump definitely works fine, (can get a replacement online for about $250 if the gauge lights end up bothering you or if you know anyone that's good with tracking a short in an electrical wire you can have them play with it for a bit.) Also on the interior on the drivers side door near the switches I'm not exactly sure what the material is, Nissan seems to have used a thin rubber material but it's peeling a little bit (not very significant and relatively easy to fix i'm just trying to be thorough and describe the car perfectly so you don't run into any surprises).
