Higher mileage lower performance? True or False?
I just filled up 2 days ago and Im only getting 188 miles to the tank according to my gauge....I do have a exhaust manifold leak but even with that I was getting 330city/400hwy....car has 79k
Just maintain the vehicle once you get it.... run cleaner fuel through it (Shell Brand, Chevron w/Techron). Never run cheap stuff and check out the vehicle's maintenance... Transmission service, Radiator, Rear Diff, etc.... Something I did to mine that showed to help a lot was a 2-stage Fuel System Cleaning. I also run full synthetic motor oil (which I did since I got the car at 20k miles) and it seems to help the motor stay smooth.
Nissan says they build their cars to run at least 200k miles... but you still gotta maintain em.

I had a 310k mile 1992 celica and it ran at the track exactly what is was "suppose" to run 16.9 stock
I turbo'ed a 2001 kia sephia at 150k miles and still was at full compression 15.2 at 4psi...
My 350z with 140k miles ran a 13.6 which I think is in "spec"
It all depends on how the car was maintained.
If it feels sluggish, usually a fuel filter replacement and a full tank of gas with lucas injector cleaner works well.
