Default Does anyone feel the same way?

So I go to Starbucks and get a cup of coffee and add some sugar to it. I decide not to stir the sugar into the coffee b/c I have a 350Z. I get into my car and drive for about 1 mile and my coffee and my sugar is all completely mixed!! You might ask why???? B/C our car is sooooo freekin bouncy!!! It is downright impossible to drink coffee in our car with the bounce.

Who needs a stirrer when you have a 350Z!! Not me!!!!

OK, i am done venting and NO, i didn't spill any of the coffee on me.

Have a nice day!!!

Very bouncy, but it is even worse in this cold weather!! Next spring/summer I will definately be figuring out a suspension upgrade, hopefully Koni's will be readily available by then.

the bounce seems to happen on cement freeways primarilly where they seem to be layed just such that our suspension seems to oscillate. It's really annoying when you get on a strech of it and I hafta drive for about a mile of it every morning. Need stiffer shocks or something.

Yeah, my first thought was, What are you doing with coffee in a Z!

I've experienced the “bounce” only on certain stretches of the interstate, usually at about 70 MPH. Never experienced it in city driving though.

And people, QUIT EATING AND DRINKING IN YOUR Z

I never eat in my car but I do drink coffee in the car. That is why there are the cup holders. The cup has to have a lid or else I don't drink it. I don't know if you guys have scene that commercial with Tony Hawk and the Quick chocolate milk ad. I think we should write to Quick and have them do the same thing with the 350Z.

Check out the threads in the Suspension forum for numerous discussions about the "bounce".

Has there been any group effort to get the "bounce" resolved by Nissan....similar to the Bose "fix"? The bounce on a cement highway can be dangerous and I might hurt myself....see where I am going?

As far as I know NNA says there is no "bounce" problem. Be aware they have supposedly changed the suspension for 2004.5's to the euro suspension. Many have gone to the S-Tune to fix the problem and some are waiting on the Koni SA Sport shocks as another way to take care of it. Most expert drivers say it is poor shock valving to match the stock springs. Does the bounce affect/contribute to tire feathering? Who knows.......NNA is finally realizing there is a feathering problem. Not sure if I can wait on them to admit to the bounce. Search on Nismo S-Tune suspension or Koni. Should give you plenty of reading material.
