Comparison with 300ZX
How does the ride and handling of the Enthusiast model compare with the 300ZX? I had a '91 300ZX for 12 years until a truck booted it through an intersectin at a red light. It was a pure pleasure to drive - once put 450 miles on one Sunday looking at "Fall Color" and was never sore or tired after 400 - 500 miles. It was a "pure" handling car and its only vice was very little oversteer warning. A test drive alone won't provide answers to this question, so I ask anyone who has had experience with both models to respond.
The 350Z handles much better than a stock 300ZX, it tends to understeer, the steering is crisp and responsive though. The 300ZX feels more front heavy and has really bad rear wheel hop under power, if you liked the 300ZX you will be very happy with the 350Z's handling.
Yes, the 300Z has made it to the timeless cars category... Right where the NSX, supra, and RX7 are... The design never gets old and it is an awesome car. I've driven both and the 350z has a much more modern feel to it, very tight car, makes the 300z feel like a boat almost.

I still think they are great looking after all these years

As an owner of many Z's, I'd agree that the 350 is overall better handling and tighter feeling car than the 300. But with the 300 TT in "sport" handling mode, while a bumpy ride, direction changes and sharp turns are a hoot! -- especially when exiting the turn with the turbos boosting!!
In "touring" mode the 300 does give a heavy feel to the handling but provides a relaxed long distance- type ride.
