Default What happened?

Ok, this is probably a repost x^100, but i just got done watching the EVO VIII vs Garret Twin Turbo charged 350Z. I'm sure you know the video. Anyways, does anyone know how much HP the EVO was putting out in the video. With relatively small mods (filter, test pipe, BC and PMS) the EVO seemed to only lose by a couple of cars to 110mph and quite honestly, we all know EVOs are not highway monsters. So what gives? Is the turbo Z in that video just not all that fast? Where can i find more info on the car?

In summation, i wasn't all that impressed with the Turbo Z....

What do you mean, there is a EVO VIII locally here in Raleigh running mid 11's on stock turbo and a small shot of NOS, less then $1000 in mods and it's quick as sh*t. Who knows what that Evo was putting down or what times he's running, hard to tell from the video.

Who knows how much power that EVO had. I bet it was a fair amount. Those things react well to mods, and he has the boost set up a bit so ya never know..

Between the mods the EVO had, it couldn't have had much more than ~340 crank HP. I'd like to think the twin turbocharged Z had much more than that. Atleast 400+hp....

The Z has a little over 400 to the WHEELS at relatively LOW boost. The EVO had a lot more HP than you think. My buddy has one and they are quite even with a stock Z when they are stock. A mag dynoed some stock EVOs at 285 at the crank on a crank dyno so they are, as I suspected, underrated from the factory to begin with. Each mod given to that car affects it like twice as much as modding a NA car. The EVO had upped the boost (alone putting it near or over 345 HP), a filter, downpipe, etc. It was pushing more than you think dude. Both cars were fast. Two car lenghts at 110 from a what was it 40 or 50 or 60 roll? Think what it would have been at 160.
