So... in summary just to be the one that's helpful and repeat the same stuff to try to make it more clear:
The Z has a brake-override which will not let you input throttle while holding the brakes. Think of the problem Toyota had with accelerators getting stuck, this makes it so your brakes will take priority.
The thing you can do to work-around this is pull out the fuse labeled "BRAKES" next to your dead pedal (open your driver door, look down at your pedals, turn head left). Open that panel and the plastic panel is labeled with which fuse is which. Use the fuse puller to yank out the brake one. Remember to reinstall the fuse after you smoke your tires/clutch/dignity.

Just install a switch in your center console that turns off your brake lights when your going to do a burnout thats what i did... pretty cool if you fly past a cop and dont want to make it obvious by lighting up your brake lights and giving yourself away.

If you do decide to burn out, please be responsible and smart about it.
And don't get carried away...

I was really just wondering how to do it because I was planning on going to the drag strip soon and I wanted to burnout with the pair of slicks that I have. However I was unaware of the brake over-ride system, and I'm sure many of you did not know about that either, so I would cut down on the sh*t talking haha. There seems to be a lot of hate amongst the younger Z owners.. lol

Depending on what year Z, making a switch is cleaner!

Good luck at the track! It doesn't have to be a smokey burnout to be a good one!
