I personally came to the conclusion that the 06 is great due to more torque than the HR (torque makes a car get up to speed better than hp).... i hear the 07-08s can and do make more power but ive heard the HR has oil proplems....also the hood on the 06 looks better than the 07-08 IMO
OK... so we know why you wouldn't swap your 06 for an HR
I had my slave changed and after that I have had 0 problems, unless I try and launch on DRs then I run into some problems
my friend has an 08 and has more slave problems then I do.
Slave was defective in some 07s, so replacement should solve the problem. Using HD slave would certainly solve it. Having said this..I have 08 with 45K miles...no issues..clutch is like butter.
I had an 07 and the slave cylinder problems are worse than the 06 oil consumption problem
NO way you can compare a one time fix like the slave cyl with the oil consumption issue
I have the infamous 06 6MT. Fortunately mine has no oil consumption problem. If I were you and could afford 07/08 models, I'd do it because it's newer and has HR engine in it.

he has a HD slave and an 08 ...
he blew up his stock slave on his first and only track day. I think he fixed the problem with the wilwood master but before he was having a lot of problems..
