Default 2005 base complete 07 conversion

I have two 350Zs an 05 with a blown motor and an 07 I totaled. I'm going to completely upgrade the 05 base with all of the 07 enthusiast parts that are still good I have completely gutted the 2007 and am going to make it a v8 track car. I will post pix as I take them.

its already looking like its going to be a lot of work but in the end having a one of a kind car is worth it. just waiting on a engine hoist to remove the hr and rev up engines and then prep the fire wall. If anyone needs any 2005 parts let me know im selling everything off of it.

I was just going to do an engine and xmission swap but after trying to fit the spare tire off of the 05 onto the 07 i noticed the calipers and rotors are bigger on the 07 so everything that bolts onto the 07 is going to be put on the 05

I would be interested to see how this plays out. I have an 05 as well. What do you plan to do with the lights off the 07? Be interested in selling those?
But seriously, good luck sounds like a fun project!

Damn, I hate when I click on these threads when they first start... then have to follow along for months lol. I was hoping this was a completed build thread.

Sounds awesome though, hopefully its not too exceptionally difficult and time consuming.

IIRC, no. The clutch and flywheel on the 07 slightly differs from the 05. Part numbers on aftermarket clutch/flywheel packages differ from 05 to 07.
